6/15 Season Two, Episode 17: Odds on a Dead Pigeon-Scarecrow and Mrs King

We left a very worried Lee asking of Amanda..
Lee: Where the hell is she?
We don’t have to wait for long to find out! Next thing we see is the gang arriving back home.[I don’t know why Lee wasn’t parked out front watching! :)]
Dotty is relieved to be home:
Ohhhh Home!!!!
Love how Amanda gets out of the car, closes her door.. then reopens it to get the keys out – she needs them to open the boot (trunk!) – I love how they leave stuff in like that.. makes it feel more natural! And KJ just stays in character and goes with it Smile Ugh… I’m over complaining Phillip! He’s cross with Jamie for falling in poison ivy..

Jamie: I didn’t fall, I tripped! Then I fell!
LOL well that clears things up! Winking smile  what’s the difference??!!
Amanda: we came home because your brother is very uncomfortable…
Jamie: and because nobody at the camp’d come anywhere near me!
Phillip: that’s cos your contagious that’s why!
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001301468
Jamie lunges at Phillip threatening to touch him! Smile  haaaa is it naughty of me that I enjoy seeing Jamie get back at Phillip? Winking smile
Dotty: Oh we’re probably all going to get it you know.
Amanda’s on the job!: we won’t get it. Not if we take the proper precautions, (to the boys) now get inside.
Dotty: I think forgetting this camping business is the dandiest precaution!
Amanda: Oh well mother I don’t know why you don’t like it. I mean Phillip likes it, Jamie likes it. I like it..
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001317984
Both of them struggle with what they are carrying here for a moment..
Dotty: Let me tell you something, if God had wanted us to live outside, he would not have created architects!  1rofl
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001319986
Love it! slap happy That is such a great Dotty line!!!
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001320987
I think Dotty doesn’t have to like it if everyone else does.. I don’t understand why Dotty doesn’t say no! Oh well.. if she had stayed home she might have wondered about the shotgun on her stairs.. ahem..
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001327494whoooo We see Karen  drive past and find the gang are home.. suffer! She just stops in the middle of the road!! LOL Love the OTT baddie music as she stops to look! 1baddie speaks 2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001325992
Uh oh… Back to baddie HQ.. Gordon’s not happy with Karen’s work.. surely he wasn’t hovering like this when she set up Credle or Treloggen?? he should leave her to it (and stop annoying me!) ..
Karen: you’ll get your money’s worth.
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001344010
[wait.. she’s still wearing those clothes?? the ones she arrived at Amanda’s place in yesterday? hmmm..]
Gordon: you missed Stetson!
Karen: I won’t miss him the next time!
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001352519Gordon: next time?? I mean you had him! why didn’t you stay and finish the job??
[I agree with Gordon.. dumb!]
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001358525Karen: because when I kill him, I want to make damn sure I can walk away from it.
[nope.. doesn’t make sense to me.. okay to kill Credle and Treloggen to their faces.. but not Lee? ugh.. ]
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001361528Karen: Look, Amanda King whistles he comes running.

Aha! Now this is interesting!! Do we all think this is true? 😉 I do.. I think he’s probably been like that since he met her – only nowadays he doesn’t seem to mind so much 🙂

Gordon has calmed down now: Oh if only she hadn’t come home.
Karen: Well she came home! Sooo we’ll have to get rid of her.
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001367033
Gordon: ugh!!
Karen: I can’t have two of us walking around in the same house can I? and that’s the only place that I can be sure I can make contact with Stetson.
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001377043
[Oh boy.. don’t get me started on this one.. you know I think this is ridiculous! Amanda has to die? why not just stake out her place and wait till Lee shows up and then follow him? Aie!!
All this also beg the question: how did she initially make contact with Credle and Treloggen?? We know she staged a fake accidental meeting to catch up with Credle.. but how did she find him in the first place? ]
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001389556

Karen: I’m not going to get rid of her. I’m going to get rid of Lee Stetson. You take care of Mrs King.

2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001380046

Gordon doesn’t want to get his hands dirty.. but they already are anyway if you ask me! He sees he has no choice..
Back to the King home..

Hey I noticed the thing above the door is the flat one again.. that’s so weird! BJo I’m always looking for that weird eagle now! Smile
Earlier it looked like this :
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001000667
on with the episode..
Dotty is in a tizz! She comes rushing into the kitchen..
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001397564
they both have gloved hands..
Dotty has checked her jewellery it’s all there.. so they think it was a break in huh..
Dotty: I can’t believe this actually happened! 2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001404571…When you read about things like that.. but to know that somebody was here…
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001406573
… this house.. ugh!!! it makes me feel so violated!
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001411578
[whoa.. so ironic given someone came and not only took over the house, but Amanda’s identity!! Yes all this watching, bugging etc is very creepy!]
Amanda: I know mother.
Dotty: But, it’s alright, I mean we’ve got to remember.. nothing’s stolen! and nobody’s hurt! .. but.. they were here..
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001417584
[ At this Lee pops up in the window behind Dotty!! He looks relieved!]
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001418585
..why don’t you call the police?
Amanda: they’re on their way mother.
Wow.. dotty is going nuts!!!
Dotty: oh that’s good!…
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001419586
… Ohhh!!!!

2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001421087 [Amanda finally sees Lee in the window]

2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001427093Dotty takes off in a panic to check the silver!!! Lee is just frowning in plain view in the kitchen window! .. he motions to Amanda to come out and she motions for him to get down!
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001429596
Can you imagine if Dotty had seen Lee? in the state she was in? I think she might have fainted!! haaa.. poor Dotty!

Yippeeee Lee popping up in the window.. just like old times!! 🙂 I miss that! and Amanda is flapping her arms around like crazy to get rid of him! hehehee..

Amanda heads outside.. gloves and all!

Lee gets in fast!: Amanda!…
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001440607

2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001442609
… It’s me he’s after and I don’t want any of you in the middle of it.
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001445378
Lee looks so swoony here.. I’m annoyed at the low light here! Oh well..
Lee doesn’t even ask her what happened on the phone this morning.. which is strange given he thought someone had been feeding her what to say! weird!
Amanda: Lee, I don’t know what you’re talking about.
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001446613
Lee: wha?…
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001447113
… I’m talking about our phone conversation.
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001449115
Amanda: what phone conversation?
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_0014511172.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001453119
Lee: this afternoon!
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001454621

Amanda: this after- I didn’t talk to you on the phone this afternoon.

Amanda: I mean you didn’t talk to me because I didn’t talk to you!!
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001457123
Lee: wait a second wait a second…
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001458124
… this is getting way out of hand…
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001459626
Alright. Now look.…
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001462128
.. Get everyone to a hotel and meet me back here tomorrow morning and we will go through this house and see what we can find.
Is it just me or does it not seem right that they don’t touch each other here because of Amanda’s gloves?? usually Lee would have touched her hand or grabbed her arms.. kind of underlines that things are off balance I guess…
Amanda: right.
Lee: okay?
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001467634
Amanda: right.

So Amanda and her family are heading straight to a hotel for the night… umm.. the police were on their way- weren’t they?

Amanda looks at Lee, hesitating a moment.. like she was going to say something..but I guess she thinks better of it…
2.17 ODDS ON A DEAD PIGEON.avi_001471137
And she leaves him and the scene ends there.

Lee is surprised that Amanda doesn’t know what he’s talking about.. hmmm- Lee is one confused man right now – looking forward to hearing what you all think!

He didn’t even see Karen and he’s this confused!! he just heard here voice!!LOL Imagine if he’d see her Winking smile
Oh wait.. Lee!! It could be the terminator!!!! they can imitate voices!! Were there dogs barking in the background??! Oh nooo he’ll never stop until Lee is dead!!!! tee hee..

At least there is one thing Lee isn’t confused about ..  he finishes reminding Amanda to take her family and go to a hotel tonight.. awh… I love that he gets control of his temper here and doesn’t take out his frustrations and fear on Amanda! Such progress in our Lee! Smile Isn’t his concern adorable?!

Soooo this scene in the episode ends there.. but the script has this scene playing out differently.. Ah – going back to the scene at IFF, I forgot to mention, in the script- Lee tells Billy and Francine that Amanda had accidentally said the name Gordon on the phone – another clue that it was Gordon Redding behind it.

So here in this scene..in the script when Amanda comes outside-
Lee immediately jumps in with: Amanda, thank God you’re all right. When’s the last time you talked to Gordon ?
[See now it makes sense that he thought Amanda knew!! Because of the name.. they should have left it!]
Amanda responds: I don’t know. I guess.. yesterday morning.
Lee: okay, if he tries to contact you tonight, I’ll be right here.
Amanda: here. On the patio.
Lee: right.
[Remind anyone of Filming Raul???!!!]
Lee: You can all move to a hotel in the morning. It’s me he’s after. I just don’t want you getting caught in the middle. The way I figure it, he didn’t know where to find me.. but, we’ve been seen together a lot [hooo haaa! ] he used you as a contact. How the hell did you meet him anyway?
[This all makes more sense to me! you?? ]
Amanda: Lee, I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Lee: Gordon! I’m talking about Gordon!
Amanda: well, don’t get mad. What do you mean he’s after you? why?
Lee: I killed his brother.
Amanda: ohhh Lee.. you killed Gilbert’s uncle??

[rofl!! I think this sounds fun! I really prefer the original script version!]
At this they both stare at each other..
They both simultaneously say: Are we talking about-
Lee: -Gordon Redding
Amanda: -Gordon Fielding
[yes that name again!!]
Lee: It’s been that kind of a day.
Amanda: I know what you mean. Jamie fell into that patch of poison ivy (script says sumac) and when we got home..
Lee: that wasn’t you I talked to on the phone. It sounded just like you.
Amanda: you mean it wasn’t the agency that used my house? [ Hmm interesting!! Is that why she didn’t seem half as upset as Dotty in the actual episode??] I thought they were awfully messy and I couldn’t see why they’d be going through my letters, but.. Lee.. who was it?
Lee: I don’t know. But this is getting way out of hand. You move into that hotel in the morning. As soon as you’re out. I’ll go through the house see what I can find.
Amanda: No.
[I think this ‘No’  is important for later!]
Lee: it’s too dangerous for you to..
Amanda: we’ll go to the hotel. Fine.. but I’ll go through the house with you… There are personal things and.. well, I just don’t want someone opening drawers and looking through closets without me. That’s the only way I’ll agree to it.
Lee looks at her, sees she’s determined.
Lee: eleven o’clock?
Amanda: eleven o’clock.
And the scripted scene ends there.. Well.. I really liked this….and I find reading this has helped me make sense of the episode we got – so I’m glad we have access to it.. and I can get on with enjoying the episode 😆 Soooo I went to the trouble of typing it up.. [even though I shouldn’t spending too much time on this right now! LOL yes one of those tempting rabbit holes we’ve been discussing!!]

BTW- is there a wizard of oz version of a rabbit hole?? because we are mixing our fairy tales here! Smile  Oh and I nearly forgot.. Lee and Amanda finally caught up with each other 24 minutes into this episode!! that’s half way through!!!!! that might be a record! even for the last 4 eps in season 4?! I’m not going to check cos I’m holding off seeing them again till we get to them now! Smile

Okay gotta go.. I’m really looking forward to hearing your views on this- Byeeeeee!

  1. Funny, I thought the gloves were so they didn’t disturb any fingerprints since the police were on the way….Oh well…everybody interpreted it differently…that’s what makes this blog so interesting.

  2. I see poison ivy mentioned a lot. I have no idea what it actually is, mentally I picture an ivy that tries to strangle you like it’s some sort of Triffid but. I digress LOL
What bugs me about the Lee and Amanda conversation is once there is clear there is confusion no one explains what they’re on about. I accept this might be because Dotty might come back but jeez people just get to the point!!! Lee’s hands look so close to Amanda’s he’s itching to touch her 😉

BTW I think the dark pic of the house still has that funny construction above it, I just think it’s the angle of the pic and the lighting which means you can’t see it sticking out.

Sorry I am not posting about much, not enough hours in the day lately!!!

    1. Poison ivy is a low plant containing an oil that irritates the skin, causing an itchy (and sometimes painful) rash that blisters the skin. I’ve heard that it can be a shrub or climbing vine as well, but haven’t seen that kind here. If the residual oil on the skin or the discharge from the blisters transfers to someone else’s skin they can catch it, although some people seem more or less immune. Cotton gloves is not the precaution I would think of taking to keep from catching it; especially because bathing the patient is a common treatment, and then you’d think the gloves would be rubber. Mostly, you want to avoid touching the area as much as possible, and wash your hands if you do, since the effect of the oil is not instantaneous. However, if the cotton gloves were intended as a poison ivy precaution, it would be a bad idea for Lee to touch them, although it was also a bad idea to run around touching everything in the house after touching Jamie. I kind of thought the gloves were because of the supposed break-in, but that doesn’t really make sense either, because if they were worried about fingerprints they shouldn’t have handled anything until the police came. It would have made more sense for Karen to wear the gloves; wasn’t she worried about leaving her fingerprints on the phone and everything?

Haha, the screencaps make it look like Lee showed up at the window with flowers! (I wish). But they stay in place when he drops down!

        1. I found this article interesting and helpful.. it had pretty pictures 🙂
          http://www.wikihow.com/Prevent-Getting-Poison-Ivy-or-Poison-Oak

It says its a common myth that it’s contagious – when it’s only contagious if the oil is still on the skin, as happy camper said (Hi Happy Camper!).. so I think SMK was going with the idea that it was a contagious rash all the time.. and since it seems to take different lengths of time to form a rash and in different ways – people think the poison ivy was spreading when it wasn’t.. people had already been exposed to it – they just reacted in different times.. at least that’s what I understood.

Also – I was thinking the gloves were white plastic gloves! haaaa! but.. according to this article just cotton is no good.. and just plastic are no good… they recommend cotton lined plastic gloves.. so basically I think the gloves/poison ivy just doesn’t make sense! because it was based on something that was an old wives tale – the script says Jamie lunges at Phillip to ‘communicate the rash’ – so I think the writers were working on that assumption..but.. there are no gloves in the script.. sooo all seems to me like a big Dog’s Breakfast! (Not sure if that translates? but.. it’s a big mess that doesn’t make sense 🙂 )

I think I’ve learned something from smk.. it makes me smarter-errrrrr 🙂

Oh and btw – a few days ago I came up with an explanation for the white gloves and did a meme about it.. 😉
if you are interested.. here it is: http://nedlindgers.proboards.com/post/447/thread

          1. I think the mime explanation is best 🙂
I had always thought it was because of the break in and fingerprints, but I never really thought about it. The fact that Lee and Amanda don’t touch is what made me think of the poison ivy. But they never mentioned that either. Could you imagine if he had gone to touch her and she had t tell him not to because of poison ivy? It would be like a revisit of the bridge scene in Bromfield Hall.

  3. I assumed it was because of Jamie’s poison ivy, A and D were wearing the gloves. I do wish they had fimed the script version, I always thought it very odd Lee didn’t follow up when Amanda told him she hadn’t talked to him on the phone.

        1. We have lots of Poison Ivy in Ohio. I had to hop over some just earlier this month, while walking in a camp. Actually, I probably still have some in my own back yard, amongst the english ivy and the grape vines, near the back fence, but I haven’t really checked, lately. I try to avoid it at all costs.

I always thought it odd that they came back from camp so quick. Poison Ivy rash takes at least a day to show up. They should have made it to Sunday before realizing Jamie was affected. Oh well, just chalk it up to another plot hole in this holey episode.

  4. All I have to say is thank God for architects. A camper I am not.

I definitely think that Karen is spot on when she says that Lee runs to Amanda when she whistles. It’s usually because she’s been kidnapped by the baddies though.

LOL, iwsod…I would really love to know the explanation on that thing above the front door! After looking at those two pics closely, I wonder if they are the same house. The trees in the front yard don’t look right and I’m not sure I can account for the difference by an angle adjustment. The location of the big tree on the sidewalk is wrong and the green things in front of the fence are different heights.

Dotty in a tizz!!! Love it! Her mother’s silver!!! Why didn’t she think of that first? It’s okay – she’s in a tizz!

Ahhh, Lee’s good hair is back – yay! I’m too busy noticing that that I don’t notice the lack of touching. Heck, they touch so much I think my mind just assumes they touch whenever they’re together. What’s that phenomenon called? Like when you read words that are missing letters but your mind knows what you’re reading? Maybe when they cut out some of the dialogue from the script they cut the touching scenes too?

Amanada’s hair looks good in this backyard scene – like it’s growing out!

What is that thing on Amanda’s wall between her and Lee? Lamp? Broom? Hanging butter churn? I know, it’s a broom shaped butter churn replica lamp. Ha!

Barking dogs? Very good, iwsod! Love the Terminator series…some of my favorite movies. I’m just glad that Karen can’t regenerate or we’d have had to endure a second Amanda impersonator episode.

I love how Lee is soo concerned for Amanda in this backyard scene. He is really being sweet here. Doesn’t he look more handsome when he’s being sweet?

I like this article too although they call it something else: http://phys.org/news/2011-04-eyes-brain.html
Especially this paragraph: “If you are driving a car and a pedestrian is suddenly obscured – say by a pillar box or your rear view mirror – your brain still knows where they are and where they will reappear in your line of vision. Without that ability, we would be lost in everyday life.” LOL – yes, we would all be a little lost in our every day life if Lee stopped touching Amanda!

          1. Amanda and Lee would most definitely be lost. I know I am a little lost in this last scene, I think they are too. If they had touched they probably would have solved the case right there and then.

              1. And we wouldn’t have had the next wonderful scene…”you’re okay now, I’m here” or however it goes. Thank goodness for poison ivy, or grandma’s silver or mime?

                1. I blame Iwsod’s mime. (For giving us the rest of the ep; three cheers, Iwsod!) Grandma, with the silver candlestick, in the poison ivy, just doesn’t measure up… Especially since she’s dead. Can ghosts get poison ivy? Does ectoplasm react to urushiol?

  5. I always wondered what brought Lee back to the house that night. Did he somehow learn that Amanda had come home or was he just going to search the house again out of desperation? Also, what was he doing all afternoon before that?

    Like

  6. I love the way they both pause near and at the end of the conversation… before Amanda goes back into the house… like they want to touch but don’t think they can (I think others nailed it when they said that a poison ivy comment had been missed or edited out…).

Why does Amanda leave the patio door ajar? Does she want Dotty to hear her talking to Lee?!?!?

I think the gloves are for the poison ivy, but also for the icky factor (someone’s been in the house and I don’t want to touch the stuff–however, if that was the case, shouldn’t they be using rubber gloves, not cotton ones? Maybe they were going to sit down and polish grandma’s silver after they determined whether or not it had been stolen…)

I think that the unused script dialogue makes more sense, but I’m wondering whether they did what they did in order to string the confusion along further. If Lee and Amanda had had more of a discussion about the phone call and Gordon Redding, they’d be a bit closer to figuring out that there’s a fake Amanda running around. Right now, they’re still completely clueless about it. Unsure about the we-talked-on-the-phone/no-we-didn’t but more able to brush it aside and concentrate on getting Amanda and family out of the house. Does that make any sense?

  7. As for a Wizard of Oz rabbit hole, I think that tornado and the bump on the head that Dorothy received took her down the rabbit hole into Oz. There is always following a Yellow Brick Road that could take you to some rather interesting places.

It is a strange thing to have a Lee and Amanda scene with no touching. There hasn’t been one since the very beginning of the show. Even when they were strangers and met at the train station they were touching. So a no touching scene is very noticeable. There must have been something said about poison ivy that was edited out otherwise it doesn’t make sense.

  8. About the Script version: I guess that would be just like the Agency to come in and use the house without Amanda’s permission, I wouldn’t have taken it so well as Amanda though. It would have been better to leave it like the script this time.

Dotty is so Over The Top…LOL!! She probably felt like she had to go camping to help Amanda with all those boys. Where are the father’s? Did Gordon Fielding go with his son? Too weird that women would be doing a boys version of the Boy Scout’s, I would have thought they would want the male influence.

    1. I also like how Lee is relieved that Amanda is okay and that is the first thing out of his mouth. I agree with Karen that when Amanda hollers Lee comes running. If she knows all this personal stuff about them then how come she doesn’t know where the Agency is?

Maybe this episode is for us viewers to solidify in our eyes the growing relationship between Lee and Amanda. If that is what other characters on the show see then it must be true. David Benson saw it way back in ‘The Mole’ so the difference now is that Lee would admit it to himself that he does care about Amanda beyond the working relationship 🙂

  9. The one line of Lee’s about this getting way out of hand always sounded odd to me. It seemed out of place with the rest of the dialogue. Seeing what the original version was makes sense now. There’s a weird out of place line like that in the edited version of The Sound of Music. When I saw the uncut version things completely fell into place. One little weird edit can through something completely off.

I always disliked the glove wearing, but figured it was because the police were coming they didn’t want to confuse the fingerprints. However, their fingerprints would be all over the house since they live there and it looks as if they already did some cleaning. So maybe the gloves are to deal with the contagious Jamie.

I love Lee’s first line of “thank God, you’re all right”. Comes up again in a later episode. Amanda is his first and foremost concern. I wondered about why he didn’t hug her or touch her in anyway. Maybe the poison ivy issue came up at one point in an earlier script version. Or maybe they wanted a bigger payoff later on. They did like to make us wait so long for things with Lee and Amanda.

It does seem like there a bits of missing discussion between the two. The conversation is a little stilted. Again, seeing what they originally were supposed to talk about sort of explains it. Love how Lee calmly deals with the situation. He wants to protect not only Amanda, but her family as well. He knows that she will be concerned about her family and he lets her know right away that he is concerned as well. I think Amanda is still in “take care of her family” mode and decides that whatever she wants to ask or tell Lee can just wait until the morning when they can talk more openly.

For whatever planning Karen and Gordon did up to this point it seems to have gone out the window and they are just ad libbing their way through the rest of it. What is it they say about the best laid plans? Winging it will lead to mistakes. Both of them are pretty poor bad guys, in my opinion. And of course there are the plot holes that aren’t helping.

        1. Hi Everyone! That’s so funny about the gloves! I didn’t say much about them in the post.. I was assuming that they were to prevent the spread of the poison ivy. I don’t know anything about poison Ivy LOL..but I based it on how Phillip said it was contagious and Amanda responded not if you take the proper precautions. I thought the gloves where a precaution! 🙂 I never thought it could be for the silver! but then. they are both wearing gloves before Dotty remembers the silver.. and if the gloves are just for silver – then Lee can touch Amanda yes?

I agree.. there’s a line missing about don’t touch the gloves or you’ll get poison ivy or something… err that is if this is the reason for the gloves! I’ll acquiesce to you north Americans on this one 🙂

I’m curious what SoM line Valerie is referring to also! Aha! we don’t have a sound of music thread at Ned’s! 🙂

I loved reading your comments in response to my post thanks BJo! 🙂 hope you are well!

I know exactly what you mean about Lee’s good hair being back! I thought he looked very handsome in this scene.. Heck.. brace yourselves for the next scene!!!

Regarding it being another house. It could be I don’t know. but this episode has a number of shots of the house from angles we’ve never seen before..so sometimes it looks really different but it’s a different angle.. someone got a head for this stuff and want to work out in which episode it changes? I think I read somewhere that there were two or three homes used.. probably on a fansite somewhere – whooo maybe it was on that Valerie found the info on Ricky Stout on.. I don’t have time to go find it though.. sorry!

          byee all!

LOL–that’s another of the things I’ve started tracking via Tie Patrol and Vehicle Patrol. 😀 I haven’t figured out which ep yet… still have lots of episodes to patrol!!!

            1. Ahhh KC! I am very excited to hear of this project of yours!! 🙂 but no hurry! we have all the time in the world!

              I found that website I mentioned.. it’s a fan website.. http://buffyzlayer.tripod.com/facts.htm

Which fan I don’t know sorry – if you are reading.. thanks for your site 🙂

The opinion listed here about the house is that there is the one house in the first episode and season 1 and 2 credits, then they switch between two different houses for the rest of the show.. I guess we’ll work it out as we go along.. look forward to hearing what you come up with KC! 🙂

House Patrol, Tie Patrol, Vehicle Patrol.. Officer KC is a service above and beyond 🙂
              byeeee!

    1. Valerie, what line in TSOMusic are you talking about? It is the scene with the Baroness and the kids and Max? I haven’t seen it in a while, but I’m thinking there’s something missing in that scene.

      1. TSOM line is after they have traipsed through Salzburg and are in the mountains playing. Louisa asks if they can do this every day and Maria says, “Well, we’ll have to think about that one.” I always thought it was an odd response to the question instead of a yes or no. In the unedited version after Louisa asks the question Maria asks her wouldn’t she get tired of it. And then there’s more dialogue. The “think about” response comes after they ask how else can they get their father’s attention without being bad. Then she teaches them to sing. There are a few of them in there like that. I need to watch the edited and then the unedited to do a little comparison. Ned’s would be the place to discuss it though.
