Hello Everyone! Just thought I’d share a few stats from 2014, and give a huge shout out to the commenters who make JWWM possible!!!
Drum Roll please…. for the Top 5 Commenters of 2014!
[‘Following’ is just referring to how I follow jule’s blog..]Kiwismh is miles ahead!!! Most prolific by far!!
Kiwismh.. please accept the JWWM award of an Aluminium Sun!!! ahem… take a bow!!
Thanks Kiwismh, Valerie, Cindy, Jule and Learjet for commenting more than 345 times in 2014 We Salute you!!!!! haaaa..
[I’m shocked you’re not there Morley, BJo or KC! You guys must have commented 344 times in 2014 ]
Thanks also to everyone who has stopped by and commented – even if it was just once.. I love to hear different ideas and chat about smk with you spread out all over the world!! Also, knowing that people are reading and are discussing together keeps me going with publishing my posts!!! So thanks very much for joining in!
Interesting to note that the final post on Burn Out was the ‘Most commented on post of 2014’.. I wonder what will be the most commented on post will be in 2015?
A little more JWWM trivia..
The ‘Most viewed’ posts overall in 2014 were…
Post 9/16 of Utopia Now was about Lee and Amanda chained together on the back of the truck.. then running for it, and Billy going to Predec 3! lol.. random post to be top huh! I was sure it would be the magic moment by the campfire! 😉 funny so many viewed it and then didn’t comment.. lol.. predec 3 was a bit weird huh! 😉
…144 comments at the end of Over the Limit?!! I’m not surprised!!!!!
The love keeps on coming for The First Time! Again in the top viewed posts of the year..I am busting to go back to this episode and blog it with more detail!!!!
The busiest day of the year was January 27th with 917 views. What was going on that day?!
The most popular post that day was 10/14 of Murder Between Friends [The post where Amanda tells Dotty she was arrested for murder, and Lee visits Amanda in her backyard to offer her help.. – random again!]
Lastly, visitors to this site were from 109 different countries!!!! How fantastic!!
The top 3 countries were USA, Germany and the UK!
I got this information from the blog’s annual report which was sent to me…. I thought you guys might be interested to read it
Thanks very much for stopping by and making JWWM such a special place You should all take a bow!!! byeee!
Thanks for sharing this information, Iwsod. It’s fascinating.
Congrats to Kiwismh and the “runners-up!” I enjoy reading everyone’s comments and reactions. I’ve learned so much and had so much fun!

Congrats, kiwismh! To you and your nimble fingers! And lightening quick wit!
iwsod, thank you again for creating this lovely blog and for being so faithful to it! Since I starting going back to school my SMK time has dropped tremendously, but I am still here. Just commenting more sporadically when I’m on break between classes.
Here’s to an even better 2015! How far do you project we’ll get on the walk? Will we get into S4 this year?

Great job, Kiwismh! Hopefully you have a place on your mantle to proudly display your Aluminum Sun! 🙂
Iwsod, can I ask how many of the 109 countries show enough activity to be considered to truly “participate” on the walk, as opposed to random people just passing through? (You can define define “enough activity” any way you’d like.) Before discovering JWWM and the other SMK-related websites it had never occurred to me that SMK was still so popular with so many other people and in so many different countries. But I’m sure glad it is and that we all enjoy writing and/or reading about it. I’m also glad that the rabbit hole never seems to run out of room! The more the merrier! 😀

Hello 2 Goldens!
What a great question.. and.. not an easy one to answer!
I can see statistics for number of views per country but I can’t see if it is the same person.. I would guess it’s the same person if I see more than 1 or 2 views from a random country.. if that makes sense – because yes a web search for umm Mata Hari may lead someone here – and they’ll quickly realise this blog is not about Mata Hari 😉 tee hee..
But I can confirm that there are many countries which stop by and read – a few quite random ones I’ve seen with 20 views on one day – say Dominican republic or Korea (South of course 😉 ) or Russian Federation [probably KGB checking up on our Russian spy references 😉 whahahaaa.. hello Russia! We are your friends!! 🙂 tee hee].
I think there is more people who read than actually comment – maybe they are not confident in their written English…or don’t have access to the show so don’t feel they can comment..or whooo maybe they just come by to drool over Lee pics 😉 whatever it is, I approach people viewing without expectation -that way I am always thrilled when anyone comments here 🙂 I truly am!! 🙂
The main countries are USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Ireland, France and Italy I’d say.. Welcome to you all!!!
Hope that helps 2Goldens!

Yes, Iwsod, thanks! And hello to all SMK fans, wherever you are. 🙂
BTW, I think you’re right…pics of Lee are a universal language unto themselves. 😉

Is there anyone else from Canada, or am I the only, lonely one?

Hi everyone! I’m from Canada! Have been following this site for a bit now. Just haven’t made any comments. I must say there have been numerous times when I have almost laughed out loud but tried to control myself as it would wake up hubby.
You all have such a great sense of humor…and yes sometimes I find myself in the gutter with you! I had no idea that SMK still had many fans out there who wrote blogs and stories, and had reunions. Thanks for taking the time to create this site!

Hi Karin and welcome to JWWM! I saw your first comment on Magic Bus, but thought I’d welcome you here – just to be different 🙂 I live just a few degrees of latitude to the south of you in America, but there are SMK fans all over the globe as you can see! I’m glad you joined in the fun and hope you can stick around!

Hooray! We can commiserate together when it’s -30 (unless you are one of the luckies on the west coast 😉 ). Though to be honest, we’ve been having quite a warm spell here so I can’t complain too much.

The scary thing is, my total could have been even higher except that in the final months of last year I decided I probably had too much to say so I made a conscious decision to comment less and with more brevity. Less is More from Kiwismh, as it were.
I encourage all lurkers to try their hand at commenting. You might have something interesting to contribute that none of the rest of us have thought of.
“Prolific and profound” – oh my, I don’t think in real life no one who knows me would call me profound. I probably talk too much and have too many totally useless facts upon which I can (and do) pontificate at length. Mostly people just want me to shut up… which is what I will do now. 😉

lol useless facts are bread and butter of JWWM! 🙂 tee hee..
hey you comment however works best for you kiwismh 🙂 Glad to have ya!

Wow! Didn’t know I had that much to say. I was a lurker for a while before I commented on anything. Can’t say that anymore. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am so glad that I found this blog. It has been a joy to read, a joy to participate, and a joy to get to know all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Iwsod, for your love of SMK, thank you for starting this and keeping it going. Looking forward to the rest of 2015 and more walking on this journey of Lee and Amanda’s.

I was worried I wouldn’t crack top 5 for 2014 as I haven’t been able to comment as much as I would have liked. Thanks again, IWSOD for creating such an amazing place for us to indulge our obsession — I mean hobby of all things SMK.
