Sooo where were we?
Beige baddie had been taken out by Eddie, Terry and Sandy’s ruse. They make a run for it out of the room and into the hanger.
Uh oh they run into Crowley. Who has a gun and starts shooting. Not very diplomatic of you Crowley!
Crowley: Stop right there!
I said stop!
They don’t haaa. they just keep on running. they already know you are going to kill them Crowley, why would they stop?! I think it would have been hilarious if Crowley had said ‘your majesty’ out of habit! 😉
We see Billy and Lee react to the gunfire, they split up..
We cut to Amanda in the car. LOL she is struggling to resist getting out of the car. She goes to start the car, I guess to do
what Lee suggested and call for help? but..
Amanda: He took the keys.
Lee took the keys? Aie.. what a mess! Did Lee really want her to go for help, or was he just saying that to get her to stay in the car?
Back in the hangar, the three continue to run and hide from Crowley.. Is it just me or is the music just really wrong?! It’s soooooo.. broadway?
Crowley gets close.. and at that moment, Lee calls out and climbs the wall – jumping into the hangar.
Lee: Crowley!
He draws Crowley’s fire away from the others and buys them time.
I’m guessing that’s stunt Lee!
Cue the sneaking music. Amanda’s left the car and is sneaking into the action!
Billy quietly wanders the hangar..
Beige baddie comes to – rather loudly! Letting Billy know he’s in there!
Billy (to Soriakhof): Hold it.
Billy holds a gun on him. lol he didn’t even get off the floor.
this baddie is so beige and lame!Billy (to Soriakhof): …This way.
He leads beige baddie away..
We see Amanda poke her head into the hanger..
Crowley: Don’t anyone even breathe hard. No one’s going anywhere this time.
King Eddie: This is between us, Crowley.
Lee reveals himself and points his gun at Crowley.
Lee: That’s far enough, Crowley.
Crowley grabs Terry to use as a hostage. That Meddling kid!
Is this the part where old man Crowley removes his mask and reveals he’s really an alien?
[Lee looks daggers at Crowley.. ouchie.. that should be enough to make any baddie wilt!]
Whooo the cheek is going!!!
Crowley is scuuuuum!!
Crowley: Hold it there! Now, you let us go, or I’m going to shoot.
Um the camera widens to find Billy and Beige baddie have now joined them. Surprise! With Beige baddie now standing next to Crowley. How did that happen? but LOL he still has his hands up??!!! He’s so flippin beige!
Lee: You’re not going to make it out of here, Crowley, so hand the gun over now!
Crowley waivers..
King Eddie: Look, all you need is me. Let them go.
At this moment.. ta da! Up pops Amanda..
Crowley: I’m warning you!
She disappears a moment.. but returns.
She throws down a can of something
and everyone freaks out.
Terry seizes the moment and escapes Crowley. LOL that beige baddie still has his hands up!
Eddie heads straight to Sandy and Terry to cover them.
Lee: Crowley!
Crowley shoots and Eddie gets hit. Will diplomatic immunity cover this?! I’m thinking Lee can wrap it around Crowley’s neck and squeeze now 😉
Lee shoots Crowley.
Beige baddie? He still has his hands up! rofl!!!
Lee rushes over to the wall to pull up Crowley calling: …Amanda!
And.. Beige Baddie still has his hands in the air!
Amanda pops up again.
And.. Beige Baddie still has his hands in the air! 😉
[This actor must have had his hands in the air for a full day. Ouchie!]
Billy: Eddie, are you hit bad?
King Eddie: Everything is cool, BBN.
LOL even when he’s been shot he’s still a big upbeat kid giving Billy a thumbs up lol!
Billy returns the thumbs up. Sweet! There’s definitely real affection there huh. Maybe that’s one reason why Billy resisted reprising his BBN cover?
Sandra: Oh Eddie.
Amanda pops her head up again.
Lee: You don’t follow orders very well.
[Um she tried to go for help and you’d flippin taken the keys!]
Amanda: Well, I know, …
…I’ll try to work on that. See you later.
LOL at the way she does this quiet little ‘see you later’. Like nothing just happened haaaa
Lee: Yeah.LOL Lee doesn’t seem to mind too much
This little moment is interesting. Lee gave her an order and she didn’t follow it. Especially interesting after TEHI (and Amanda being more highly ranked temporarily) and then the whole power struggle that went on in Wrong Number. How do you see this fitting in everyone?
I guess he looks at Billy here.. but we cut back to Eddie, Sandy and Terry.
Eddie is hurting.. and looks like he got shot in the knee.. but he seems to have in one moment earned his father of the year award after all!
Can someone tell Eddie he isn’t dying already?! From the vitamin A or the gunshot?
One last shot of Lee handling Crowley.. and of course.. Beige Baddie still has his hands in the air!
Oh that’s hilarious!!!
I was kind of hoping Crowley would get nabbed/killed/ badly injured with an explosion of some kind. So I could say those were good vibrations!!! Ah well.. The beige baddie didn’t disappoint! 🙂
Any thoughts, comments, wishes about this blog post you’d care to share? Be as deep or as superficial as you like haaaaa..
So next up.. it’s on to the tag.. So I’ll pause here don’t wan to break up the tag.. can’t wait to hear from ya!
“This little moment is interesting. Lee gave her an order and she didn’t follow it. Especially interesting after TEHI (and Amanda being more highly ranked temporarily) and then the whole power struggle that went on in Wrong Number. How do you see this fitting in everyone?”
It doesn’t fit. Something else has happened before this. Episode order.
And the beige baddie. Gah, I love it! And even the bit about someone telling Eddie that he isn’t dying. Oh, I hate being so late to the party, but I am so glad the party is so funny even for late comers like me.

Well, well, well…Lee FINALLY took the keys! I guess Amanda’s training of him and not leaving his keys in the care has caught up with him/her. 😀
This whole scene is so lame. First the beige baddie doesn’t even try anything – he’s beigest of the beige! Crowley grabbing Terry with no resistance?? Come on! I guess we’re supposed to realize that they’re all quaking in their boots because Crowley has a gun?
LOL – Crowley removing his mask – the only way that would have been more perfect is if there was a dog in the scene!
Even Billy is Lame in this scene – he just gives up beige baddie because Crowley has a gun. Gah! And Amanda with the gas can. Ugh. Yes it startles the baddies and gives Lee and Billy a chance to make a move, but Crowley shoots Eddie in the process. What if Crowley’s aim had been true and the King went down for his “big dirt nap” (love that kiwismh!) instead of just getting shot in the knee? I’m a big fan of Amanda and watching her professional growth, but I think what she did is bad. I could see her getting a reprimand about it. I’m just going to ignore the corny see ya later line.
Another great write-up, iwsod, despite the completely lame-o scene!

Haaaaa!!!!! Love it!!!
I think beige baddie is a hidden gem in this ep, he’s so beige and lame he’s entertaining! that is.. when we actually notice he is there 😉
Whahahaha!!!! Scooby Dooooooooo!!!
Yeah that dirt nap is a gem. I know I”ll use that more in future. Take a bow for that one kiwismh! 🙂
Awh thanks BJo for the encouragement!!!
As always I’ve loved hearing from ya! Hope you are well 🙂

Oh, I forgot one other thing. I read somewhere that Mel Stewart had some degree or belt in some form of martial arts and was very good at it. They never show that in these scenes when he’s out in the field. I guess they wanted to leave that real life ability out, especially when Lee gets all the action scenes.

I think I vaguely remember seeing some kind of martial arts trophy in Billy’s office, behind his desk, but I can’t remember what episode that was in.

I love the dynamic with Lee and Amanda right about now. I need to go back and watch but I get the impression that Lee was being more playful or light hearted about the following orders. He knows Amanda good and well by now and he knows he didn’t order he to stay in the car, but go for backup. And she responds with a throwaway response about working on it, which we all know she won’t and so does Lee. She saves the day and then disappears just like a superhero. They are just so much more at ease with each other, even after the debacle with him not picking her up.
This beige baddie is killing me. I wonder how this will go down with his superiors. Maybe he was rogue. Either way he was terrible and useless. Crowley had more bite.

I love how understated the sorrowful “He took the keys” is. As if it was probably a running joke on set and they never knew we’d all be watching it like crazy people later and finding it just as funny.

Hiya Janet, are you clagjanet now? are you happy with this? I see you’ve created a wordpress account..Exciting!! We can still call you Janet though. lol. Hope you are well!
And hey.. what’s this ‘crazy’ business? we are super clever, brilliant and have amazingly good taste…nothing crazy about that! okay.. yeah alright… maybe a little nutty 🙂 we are proud of it!
A wise person once said ‘a little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men’ (and women). Anyone know who said it? [No google searching!]
Hope everyone is well – bye for now!

The only way I could “like” posts is with a wordpress account and it defaulted to my Google name 🙂 So yes, one and the same and just being Janet is much preferred. 🙂

I thought the ability to like posts went away? Is it back and I’m just missing it?

Yeah me confused. I think I removed it as no one used it.. but.. it was enabled for some posts and not others.
Do you guys definitely want it?
There was the option of rating posts too.. I quickly got rid of that as it wasn’t an indicator that actually meant anything for us.
It’s been a while since I’ve pottered around with wordpress settings, and they tend to change features from time to time.. add some, take others away. I’ll take a look now

Oh my gosh. there is the option to rate posts, and rate comments.
My own opinion is rating comments can lead to a bit of self-consciousness..[you know we might begin to think oh my comment didn’t get a high rating no one likes it – which IMHO would be sad because all comments IMHO rock!]
I wouldn’t want that.. I think likes are enough. what do you guys think?
It looks like to show likes for a post is an option I select when I publish the post. I’ve selected it. but lol I can’t see where I can see on the blog post where people have liked it.
I think I get an email telling me. haaa I don’t know where to find this on my own blog! anyone?

I agree with you on the ability to rate comments. The like option seems to be perfect.

I can’t see where I can like a post either! Maybe it needs a bit of time to actually show up now that you’ve selected it?

No I had selected it when I published the post originally. maybe there is a general setting I need to fix.
I’m working on it and I’ll let you know how I go 🙂
sorry for the shop talk guys! 😉
but if you’d like to be able to ‘like’ posts let us know!

Aha!!! I’ve fixed it 🙂 I had to select where the option to ‘like’ was seen.
Now when you click on a blog post – scroll to the bottom of the post and you can see the like button above where all the comments are displayed. happy days! 🙂
I’ll give the post liking a go so people have the option 🙂

I’ll have to go up to wordpress $$ so I can publish more pics and get more memory. With this, we may in the near future be getting some added features because of it 🙂
I’ll keep you guys updated on how things go!

I remember rating some of my most favorite posts. I didn’t do it for every one because I like all your posts, and I didn’t want you to think that if I didn’t rate a post 5 stars that it wasn’t good. All your posts are like good chocolate, but not every chocolate can be as good as Whittakers Toasted Coconut, know what I mean?

rofl um yeah I think so! I think for rating posts it also gets a little confusing because it is maybe as much about rating the portion of the episode covered, rather than about my coverage of it if that makes sense.. but I’m happy to have likes if someone wants to like. but heck. no idea where you can see this on a post 😉
i’m searching settings now..

Iwsod this is a reply to a comment from 2016, but I don’t see that anyone answered. You asked who said “A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men”. I often quote movies and couldn’t pass it up. That would be Willy Wonka – the Gene Wilder version. I loved him in that movie. Anyway, still trying to catch up. Not commenting much because I’m still so far behind, but I am enjoying your posts and everyone’s comments so much. Hope all is well with all of you!

I also thought that the car keys were a bit of a running joke on set. I thought it was great that they could find a way to play the reverse. I guess it started by accident and it just grew !

I could go the easy route and say he’s just too infatuated by this point. 😉 And as usual, Amanda’s quick thinking moments have been great in this episode. Lee can’t argue that she helped expedite the situation (otherwise, beige baddie would still have his hands in the air). In thinking about Wrong Number, this could be an example of Lee making more of an effort to stop overreacting where she’s concerned.

Haaaa.. seems most are not touching this one!
I’m playing with thoughts.. and likely will be until the end of season 3.
interesting idea! but for me, I don’t see any struggle here from Lee.. but I like this idea of watching the flow of how Lee treats Amanda in these types of situations is a really good idea!
rofl!! Hilarious Sara! 🙂

She (Amanda) throws down a can of something
Could that be a can of turpentine?
That would be quite funny:
First thing in the morning Lee gets in trouble with some turpentine when he had an encounter with the ‘boys and girls in blue’ and he couldn’t pick up Amanda in time for her appointment. 😦
Now at the end of this case he is rescued by a can of turpentine thrown by Amanda… 🙂
Nice thought, gets me smiling. 😀

Love Amanda’s diversion, Lee’s very half-hearted “scolding” and Amanda’s sassiness. Go Amanda. This livened up an otherwise deathly dull scene.
I also enjoy King Eddie stepping up to the proverbial plate, defending and putting his (?) family first. Maybe he just needed something to live for and they’ve provided that for him. Hopefully he’ll take Sandra clothes shopping when this is over…..

ROFL, yeah, let’s hope so! 😀
Hm, I wonder why but this episode doesn’t bug me as much as it seems to bug others. Maybe it’s got something to do with Lee’s good, indulgent mood?
It is certainly not one of my favourites but for me it’s not one of the worst episodes either.

hiya Christina and Learjet.
Is anyone hating this episode? lol. my impression was that most of us find it pleasant enough!
I’m enjoying the walk through this episode, and discovering these characters again, I didn’t remember this ep at all.
I can only speak for myself when I say – yeah I see a few head scratching plot hole moments but nothing I can’t forgive.
I’m quite enjoying this episode, and plot holes are really a natural part of an smk episode lol.
I think there has been a few eps where bad plots have taken the shine off a little [I won’t revisit specifics here] – because the whole ep revolves around it and so following the story just doesn’t and can’t work… or the implications for the characters are lousy. then.. I don’t like it.
But in this ep, so far any plot holes don’t say anything about Lee and Amanda so I’m okay with that 🙂 I hope that makes sense.
I can happily accept the ridiculous notion that Eddie thought he had a brain tumour until he saw an American doctor, and go with the flow of where it leads [dig it?!].. but I’ll still call it out as silly if I think it is and still enjoy the show anyway 99% of the time 🙂 at least I think that’s what I do..

Maybe Eddie just really believed he had a brain tumor with out any medical advice.

You and me both, Iwsod. A severe baddie maiming would have livened up this episode no end. Sorry fellow Walkers, this hash of an episode leads me to violent thoughts. 😡
On a brighter note, Iwsod’s comment about “good vibrations” reminded me that it’s 50 years since the song was recorded – one of my faves. Check it out at Neds in the Music thread. 😉

LOL @ the beige baddie. That is actually hard work, keeping your hands in the air. Kudos to the actor. And it figures, the one time Amanda is going to stay in the car, is the only time Lee remembers to take his keys (or forgets to leave them?)

At least that makes an excellent excuse for Amanda.
*Amanda: “Believe me, I really wanted to stay in the car and get some help, Lee. You just made it impossible.”
Lee: ” Huhh? Why did I…
Amanda: “You took the keys and I never learned how to hot-wire a car. So I couldn’t get some help and had to come myself. I really need some proper agency training!”
Lee just gives her an incredulous look.*
At least Lee isn’t mad at her at all when he comments her ability to follow orders. 😉
