This Blog is a journey through all 88 episodes of the 80’s TV show Scarecrow and Mrs King. I will be working my way through each episode in their original airing order [mostly! but may deviate from time to time with explanation! 😉 ]
This walk through the episodes aims to not jumping ahead with Lee and Amanda’s story- but focusing on where Lee, Amanda and the story are at in each episode as we go along.

I hope you will join me and share your own thoughts on SMK!!

A little history on JWWM…
This blog is a work in progress, and has evolved over time. This is clear if you start reading with the first episode and read in order! Lol. I started without a clue and over time, have adjusted things to support the discussion of episodes as the walk continues – this blog is a little different to say online forums, it’s main focus is to walk through the episodes.
A major adjustment was the decision to not talk about events in the show beyond where the walk is currently up to.
This adjustment has had it’s pros and cons.
I can see how it can be frustrating to not be able to discuss future events when something comes up… [Hopefully once the walk is complete, this will no longer be a frustration.]
Also, it’s tricky to discuss two or more episodes in depth if you want to take a deep dive as commenters. [If something is burning and you really want to do a multi episode deep dive – why not write a blog post about it and I’ll publish it for you?]
Overall, I’m thinking not jumping ahead is a better experience of walking through the episodes though. I am trying to write the walk unspoiled – I haven’t watched upcoming episodes in YEARS (on purpose) – I genuinely forget the plot lol. (I’m sure that’s obvious from some of the weird things I say in blog posts haaaa!) It helps me to write episodes with fresh eyes!!
Not jumping ahead helps keep the focus on the episode being walked through. Before the change, episode discussions ended up going way off track – I don’t remember specific instances of this happening now as it was probably a decade ago lol!! but to illustrate: Someone (maybe even me) would make a comment that they thought X about If thoughts could kill – because in Burn Out Y happens – then someone would be curious about this and say something like ‘Really? interesting! I don’t think Y happened in Burn Out – why do you think that?’ then, you end up talking about Burnout and not If Thoughts Could Kill.
BTW this explains why there are early posts from me referring to future events and not following today’s rules – the rules changed over time.. so always keep in mind when reading this blog that it’s a living thing! lol.
This blog is not a reference guide to episodes that is unchanging and authoritative. Nope. 😊 My thoughts and the thoughts shared of fellow smk fans here are not fact, they are just thoughts – I like to put out there what I think and that can change over the course of one episode as I experience the episode unfolding.
This is what this blog is: the experience of walking through each episode together.
