13/21 Season Three, Episode 22: All the World’s a Stage–Scarecrow and Mrs King

Back to the Potomac Plaza Hotel. 3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001832866
We zoom in on a balcony room. It’s Tony and Maria’s room. 3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001836269
Their room seems to have two sets of balconies one overlooking the car park, and one overlooking the pool Winking smile lol.
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001838271
Tony sniffs the champagne. Takes out his pen and walks over to join passed out Maria.
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001845078
Ugh. I’m not a fan of Tony. I don’t care what they do to his play – he shouldn’t do this to Maria and it’s not okay!

I hope Maria dumps him if she survives! [her body guard IMHO will happily take his place haaa]

Tony ominously stands over her – doing something to his pen.. I can’t see what.. is it an injection? Is he going to kill her??!!! 3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001850483
The phone rings.
Tony: Hello.3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001855288
Valentine: Uh hello Tony, um, listen I imagine you must be having second thoughts about this right now, but let me assure you, that unless you, go through with this, neither you nor Dr Von Clausen will leave this hotel alive.
[Ah so Tony was having a moment of doubt here, after drugging her and before doing the next thing whatever that is! -Kill her??!!]3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001866499
Valentine seems uncomfortable making this call. Krutiov watches on.. then gives a nod of approval once the call is finished. He really is a puppet master!
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001871304
It’s implied Krutiov has told Valentine exactly what to say and do. Krutiov is probably getting Valentine to do things he wouldn’t usually do – just like with Tony (Then again I don’t know if the usual is bad guy or good guy for Valentine!) Is Valentine doing it for money? No sure..
So now we up the stakes with death threats. Tony never should have agreed to whatever has been asked of him. I’ve got no sympathy for the guy!
But if smk tries to make out he’s a hero for seeing this through to save Maria? I will gag!!!

Tony puts the phone down like it’s red hot!
[Why can’t Tony contact the body guards and get her safely away?!]
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001878111
He returns to Maria… and injects her with the needle pen!
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001890123
[Oh drat. that was a needle in the pen? Oh this is too awful to watch! Poor Maria!
What do you make of Tony here? ]

Tony pulls out a piece of paper and a tape recorder as Maria seems to rouse from unconsciousness.
Tony holds the tape recorder up to Maria and presses record. He reads out loud from the paper: 3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001905538
Tony: Good morning, welcome to the Strategic Defence Initiative Task Force review. I’ll turn this meeting over to Dr. Von Clausen, who will give us a summary of the project to date. (He presses record – again? I don’t know. whatever.)  Maria?3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001920954
(doped up Maria lifts herself up higher in her chair to address the meeting)
Maria: Thank you Dr.Weber. The D14 laser, has a G Factor of 5.444 under a full load.3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001930563
Tony seems to look on a bit stunned that this is actually working.
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001937771 I wonder if he was hoping if he did this that it wouldn’t work? Right now I’m not feeling any sympathy for Mr I agreed to drug my girlfriend so my play wouldn’t be destroyed! Mon Dieu, Mon Dieu.
Maybe he’ll be able to redeem himself by the end of this ep! But.. at this stage, I’m dubious!
Anyway, the scene ends there.

LOL a fun little edit here, as we move immediately on to two innocent young girls in the suburbs calling out: Hello Mrs King!
the lovely kiddies are happy and friendly while these despicable things are going on in the world!
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001943977
Great to see some suburban kiddies getting a line Winking smile
Amanda steps out of her front yard greeting them:
Amanda: Hello girls!
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001946980
She has changed clothes.. Hey how did she explain returning home soaking wet to Dotty? we don’t get the pleasure of finding out!
Hmm much better outfit.. still massive shoulder pads. but I can forgive that, as overall I think it’s a pretty non-offensive outfit Smile

After the kiddies have wandered by,…
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001950984
Amanda continues on toward the vette, and seems to pay no attention whatsoever to the massive limo that’s parked right next to her driveway. Yep that always happens!!
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001952185
Oh rofl!
I’m surprised Dotty hadn’t told the whole neighbourhood it was there! that would have been fun! Winking smile All the grannies could have congregated!
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001953186
She only seems to realise it’s there when Mischa calls out to her: Mischa: Excuse me Miss?
Amanda: Yeah?
Mischa: Do you know where Baldwin Park is?
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001954387
Amanda: Yeah, you made a wrong turn way…3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001954988
(Amanda takes the map and turns toward Baldwin Park)
[She seems to be in a bit of a hurry, so isn’t too cautious here]
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001956589(We see Mischa has a gun hiding under the map)
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001956990
He turns nasty. Grabs her arm.. she turns.. 3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001957390
She sees the gun. 3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001957991
Amanda drops the map.
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001958391
Mischa : Don’t make a sound…
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001958792
…or you’re dead….
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001960193
…Now move….
Mischa walks her to the back door.
LOL it seems Amanda stands there with her two hands
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001961995together in front of her before we even hear the handcuffs! it’s like she knew she would be cuffed before she should have lol. But whatev.
I guess Amanda is hoping she’ll be cuffed in the front!
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001966399
he does. Hoorah! Cuffs now on.. 3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001968001
He opens the back door.
…Get in.3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001971204
He shoves her into the back of limo.
[This Mischa is pretty awful. I hope he is nabbed in a slow and painful manner Winking smile ]
Amanda finds already passed out Lee is there.
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001973006
What do you make of her reaction to seeing Lee there?
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001976409
I’m seeing a mix of – uh oh! we’re in really big trouble! and.. Phew. we are together – I don’t need to worry about how Lee will find me. What do you think? 3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001977210
Mischa slams the door and drives off. We see him pass the empty corvette left on the side of the road.
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001988221
[anyone half expect the vette to follow Lee?! tee hee]

Back to the love (gone wrong) nest.. we find Maria is passed out on a couch. Tony kisses her. I think we are suppose to believe he really has genuine feelings for Maria, but for me – it doesn’t really all fit well.. maybe I didn’t see enough of a struggle with himself earlier.. I don’t know!
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_001994427
He picks up the tape recorder. .. and has an idea.
He calls the theatre and gets his voice mail. “Hi. This is Tony Martinet. I’m not here right now so please leave a message.”
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_002024124
He starts to play the tape -Maria’s voice says “Thank you Dr Weber, The D-14 laser has a G factor of five”,
3.22 ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE.avi_002021521
recording it onto his answering machine.
We’ll pause here! Any thoughts so far everyone?

  1. Obviously there are people out and about in the neighborhood, how did this Mischa get Lee out of his car and into the limo without being seen? Maybe he pulled the same bit on Lee as he did Amanda. Don’t remember if Lee has seen him before or not.

All the things that Tony has done or is doing to Maria are serious relationship deal breakers. How do you forgive or move on from something like that? The trust would be completely gone.

  2. One last comment from me.. I had a random thought…
This whole scenario with Mischa is quite disturbing, because he managed to follow Lee and Amanda as they drove back to Amanda’s home.
Amanda’s Home!!!! Mischa knows where Amanda and her family lives!!!!
This is too close for comfort!

    • It is – and yet, what baddie didn’t know where she lived? Evil Karen made herself at home there, Sinclair sent his white slave goons to pick her up, Jepard the Triumvirate assassin even rang the doorbell to collect the $100K cheque… But as we know from “There Goes the Neighborhood”, nothing bad ever happens in the suburbs!

      • Yep! And every time it sends chills!
The way they found her place this time was extra chilling for me.
I can’t think of another time that Lee and Amanda have been followed back to her place, usually it’s through other means and because Amanda King doesn’t have a code name and is easy to find. Ugh! They gotta do something about that! 😉 then again, Lee has one and he doesn’t seem to use it much!
Let’s see.. how did Karen know where Amanda lived?
Do we know? The ep’s details are little fuzzy! Maybe Gordon knew where Lee lived. Amanda stopped by, Gordon and Karen followed Amanda back to her place?

Jeppard knew where Amanda lived because the Agency had a traitor…

Sinclair’s white slave goons.. how did they know where Amanda lived? I think Sinclair was able to find out through Amanda’s charity work and his being a major benefactor.. or lol maybe we actually found out in the episode and I totally forget! It’s quite possible!

The weasel faced man was able to find Amanda’s because – again, there was a traitor collaborating this time with the agency.

There’s also Carlos the baddie in Fearless Dotty – how did he find it? He got Dotty’s name off her cheque or something wasn’t it? – and.. nothing to do with the agency.

The baddies in Murder Between Friends went to Amanda’s to drug her and set her up as a suicide.. because the evil chauffeur (another one!) had driven her home and so knew the address.. that run in was pretty scary! And not Amanda’s fault at all that her address was known.

Any other times a baddie has found their way to Amanda’s? There’s probably more! This has been fun to explore!

But as we know from “There Goes the Neighborhood”, nothing bad ever happens in the suburbs!

Haaaaa!! Me thinks by now that one is busted 😉

  3. Both couples have one member passed out and defenseless. Hmm?
Have we ever seen Lee so defenseless? There is something sort of tender knowing that Lee is in Amanda’s care here And she is so capable of doing what needs to be done – whatever that is. But she seems as though she can manage. They are truly interdependent here, equal, matched, in all ways. Its like all those times early on when Amanda trusted that Lee would come and rescue her are now flipped..

Not sure what to think of Tony and Maria though. He is going to have to do something remarkable to ever win her trust or belief that he truly loves her. That must be some play…

    • As early as season one, in “The Long Christmas Eve’, Lee was injured, unconscious, and dependent upon Amanda. She came through because she was idealistic and tenacious. “The Eyes Have It” has Lee vulnerable and dependent again and Amanda again rises to the occasion. Amanda has always been brave but has become a force to be reckoned with now that she has experience and a solid skill set. I like your point about their interdependence and how they are now matched. As for Tony and Maria, I think I am too caught up in A&L to care. ;). But it does contrast the two relationships well as I truly think neither Amanda or Lee would ever betray the other like that (even under similar circumstances.)

      • You are right, katjielee and thank you for jogging my memory. I was thinking about the examples that you gave – The Long Christmas Eve and The Eyes Have It – but I still think this is slightly different for them. In Eyes, Amanda was able to get Lee to medical professionals and in TLCE at least they were in the relative security of that cabin and with that other agent, albeit a burnt out one. But here they are in the clutches of the bad guys and Amanda really is the only one conscious. Its not a huge point that makes or breaks the scene for me, its just that this moment here in the limo seems such new territory for them, there is something about this scene that has such a special feel for me- even though it is a scary scene.

      • Love this katjielee!! You’ve identified some great previous moments with unconscious Lee! [for a top spy he gets unconscious a lot! 😉 ]

I think there have been numerous more moments where Lee has been pretty much completely helpless and has needed Amanda to step in and save him and the situation…
If thoughts could Kill (brainwashed by the damn duck to murder Billy!)
Charity begins at Home (locked in a freezer with no way out)
Life of the party (hanging from a meat hook about to be butchered by the mafia)
lol I bet there are tons more. I’ve only thought for half a minute lol.

time and again, Amanda has demonstrated she can be relied upon when it counts….

Amanda has always been brave but has become a force to be reckoned with now that she has experience and a solid skill set. I like your point about their interdependence and how they are now matched.

Love this again Katjielee! oh dear.. what a broken record I sound like! 🙂
Amanda now has more of the spy skills set to go along with her extraordinary bravery, and her life/housewife skills 😉

As for Tony and Maria, I think I am too caught up in A&L to care. ;). But it does contrast the two relationships well as I truly think neither Amanda or Lee would ever betray the other like that (even under similar circumstances.)

I so agree! you’ve read my mind.. this is my thinking too and about as much as I’d get out of comparing the two relationships!

        • You know.. I was just commenting a moment (to Morley) ago that I thought Tony was vulnerable because his career comeback was threatened, and he really wants his career back – As far back as Saved by the Bells – Lee has put Amanda and his own values and responsibilities ahead of his own career, and his own country! Even immature Lee back in season 1 was 10 times the man this Tony Martinet is!

Okay.. it’s been fun to swim in all the wonderful smk goodness you guys have been sharing.. but I must head off now bye!

          • I know that the prolonging of Lee and Amanda finally taking the plunge has a lot to do with creating an interesting season of Television, but I like to think its because they both knew that taking the plunge would change many things and I think Lee especially knew how it would change his relationship with his job especially. I think what you pointed out here about Lee maturity and willingness to put Amanda before his work, unlike Tony is interesting. Kind of puts that jump into the pool into a fun light. There they go, taking the proverbial plunge together… 😉

          • I hate to be reductionist about this, but basically Tony chose his career over his relationships. This makes me despise (yes, it’s a harsh word, but it fits) him. Old Lee might have done that (I”m not sure that S1 might not have done that), but mature, late S3 Lee would never do that.

I think the S3 writers often juxtapose the L&A relationship with other romantic relationships – often between baddies and vulnerable women – to show us things about L&A’s relationship. Here we have a “not quite baddie” (Tony) with a seemingly not vulnerable woman (Maria) L&A’s relationship comes out tops ever time, except for Colleen and Bart in FTF (and maybe Eric and Elizabeth in OTT, although we don’t see much of their relationship).

            • Another way we could look at these two relationships would be to compare Tony and Amanda. Tony, at this point in my mind, doesn’t really know how to handle a close relationship with someone whose position in life causes them to have a high level clearance and tons of classified info inside their heads. Amanda, on the other hand, has always tried to handle her proximity to Lee, the Agency and all of their secrets well and has become a trusted friend to Lee. I think he knows he and his secrets (and the countries secrets) are safe with Amanda. Not so much confidence for Maria I am afraid.

            • When Tony realized what they were after, I wonder if he thought that if ‘he’ didn’t go through with this, they would do worse things to Maria? If it were Lee instead of Tony, and Amanda instead of Maria, we’d assume Lee had a game plan.

              Like

              • Oh no! What if Tony does have a plan? What if we are all just being prejudiced because Tony looks like a bad guy we had met once before? Could it be that Tony is a good guy and his love for Maria would be so large that he could help catch the bad guys and save the world and keep him true to the woman he loves? What if Lee isn’t the only guy like that?

Reduce away Learjet! Ockham’s Razor rocks! 😉

The reason I was confident Lee wouldn’t do that is because in Saved by the bells he actually puts Amanda before his career – when he kidnaps Rostov from the agency and hands him back over to the Russians to rescue Amanda. Even after hunting this guy down for ages, and with all the difficulties they had in capturing this ‘prize’ and the celebrations and champagne that flowed once he was caught! Lee handed him back- for Amanda. And committed treason for Amanda. And put his whole future career in jeopardy for Amanda.. and they weren’t even together together! 🙂

    • Good observation about both couples having one member passed out – obvious, I guess, but something I didn’t really consider until you mentioned it. So far Tony and Maria’s relationship seems more superficial than L&A’s – like they haven’t really developed that deep friendship bond first. It does seem though that Tony is under immense pressure from some perceived, or should I say now a real threat to his and Maria’s life. “You won’t leave the hotel alive” if you don’t do this doesn’t leave Tony much choice I suppose if he takes the threat seriously.

    • Yep, like kiwismh I hadn’t lumped L/A and T/M together in terms of their shared “passed-out-ness”. I also never really thought to compare the two relationships either – I can draw some similarities, but I’m so confused about Tony right now I’m not sure what to make of them. With Lee and Amanda, I think those two have always been true, and we’ve always known a lot about them compared to either M or T.

What do you mean by equal and matched? From a spy skill set, I don’t really think they are. From where they are in this situation, I guess they are? Lee is the one passed out who needs help and Amanda is the rescuer – their roles are reversed. Is that what you mean? Although we know Amanda can pick a handcuff lock, she has no whipped cream 😉 To me this situation feels a bit scary. Just how did Lee end up passed out in the back of the limo? Mischa must be pretty good to have accomplished that.

He is going to have to do something remarkable to ever win her trust or belief that he truly loves her. That must be some play…

Something tells me his herring is in jeopardy of being permanently pickled. I don’t care what the King says.

Whoa! I never noticed! good one Morley! Does this mean there has to be a message in what’s going on between the two couples?
I don’t know.. I think I don’t connect with Maria and Tony’s love story and it just isn’t coming together for me.. so I’m not really going to see if there is a message if there is one!
I’m much more interested in Lee and Amanda, the case – and the concept of Krutiov manipulating these people little by little and breaking down their usual norms of behaviour..
But I hope you’ll share what you are getting out of this parallel story (or maybe intersecting story?) with us as we continue Morley!

Not sure what to think of Tony and Maria though. He is going to have to do something remarkable to ever win her trust or belief that he truly loves her. That must be some play…

I’ll say! 🙂 I’ll be rather annoyed if she forgives him!:)
I don’t really get the vibe that it’s for the love of literature or neo-absurdism that tony is doing this.. for me it’s about Tony’s wanting to resurrect his career. If he was in it for the pure love of what he writes, he might be happy to go back to the charity theatre or whatever
Valentine called it.. For me, I don’t sense anything noble in Tony’s initial actions..

I think about now he’s kind of wishing that is what he had chosen! But.. he’s crossed a line and he can’t go back! But, now that both their lives have been threatened maybe he’ll step up and break free of this manipulation..

  4. I also really like Mischa carefully hiding the gun under the map only to have Amanda whip the map out of his hands and start rambling, leaving him trying to look menacing to a woman who’s not even looking at him. So he ends up just standing there brandishing it openly in the middle of a suburban street. I think he needs to go back and re-certify for his goon licence.

  5. The Potomac Plaza must be the official Hotel for Afternoon Assignations because the front of it (?? I’m with you Iwsod, what’s with the double balcony thing?) seems to be remarkably free of any kind of signage that would tell you it’s a hotel. Maybe like the Agency, it has a false front where from the outside it looks like the office building for, say, an intelligence agency, and then behind it’s a swingers club that hosts people like King Eddy when they’re travelling incognito

  6. I can’t believe you’re all missing the obvious: Lee is already dry because he’s so hot the water just evaporates right off him…

And while I’m down here in this increasingly crowded gutter, I don’t know about Amanda but my first thought at seeing Lee in the limo was “Damn. Who did all his shirt buttons back up?”

  7. For some reason I want to have sympathy for Tony. He doesn’t seem like a bad guy, merely a weak nice guy who is desperate to make a comeback from a mid-life crisis or something. He’s got a beautiful and highly intelligent girlfriend, but rather than be a kept man, he wants to do something with his life. Unfortunately, he now finds himself in a terrible situation and is having his strings pulled by the puppet master through Valentine. Valentine also seems to be over the barrel, but I’m not sure we know why (or do we?). Regardless, I don’t care for him as much because he seems to enjoy playing the bad guy, but then again, his strings are also being pulled by Krutiov.

Maybe Tony doesn’t even fully realize just what it is that Maria actually knows and does? Her job is obviously classified, so I’m guessing she hasn’t been able to tell him very much about what she’s doing. My guess is that he’s completely clueless and he’s probably just as baffled when listening to Maria talk about lasers, g-factors, and loads as I am when hearing his play’s dialogue 😀 I think all he knows is that he’s committing a pretty serious crime here. I hope Krutiov doesn’t make him kill her or physically injure her.

So I’m confused about Tony – I don’t want to hate him, but I don’t like him very much right now. He’s not acting like the polite nice guy who’s in love with his girlfriend.

Oh gosh…Amanda’s neighborhood must be immune to limos these days if neither of those girls says anything to Amanda about it. It’s been almost three years, so I’m guessing the neighbors have noticed all the hijinks so far and have come up with their own story about what goes on at 4247 Maplewood – lol. And I think Dotty wasn’t home when Amanda showed up wet. That would have been too fun to see! But Amanda probably just would have brushed it off as a filming mishap or something for a documentary about clams in the Potomac.

Amanda’s hair is looking very pretty again in this scene! Maybe that’s why Lee is all dry himself – maybe it took Amanda longer than usual to get her hair so good looking. IMHO she should have spent a little more time on her clothing choices.

You know, speaking of clothing choices – this outfit (the skirt in particular) reminds me of another Maria – TSOM Maria and when Kurt tells her that her dress is the ugliest one he’s ever seen. We’ve seen Amanda in worse outfits, but this skirt is pretty bad. Maybe we just can’t see how nice the fabric really is and how good it feels to touch it?

It does seem odd that Lee is already dry, but at least his shirt isn’t pressed! It actually looks like he’s got on a shirt that could have been soaked through and then just air dried.

    • I think the only way not to hate Tony is to assume that he’s really not too bright, and has no idea what he’s landing Maria (and the country!) into by recording her.

      • Maybe!
But.. when first confronted with this way out, he did answer ‘you’re asking me to commit treason!’ – to me that said he knew Maria’s work was highly classified and of great national security importance, and he still did it.
Also, what we didn’t know then that we know now is that this involved drugging and injecting Maria! gah! he knew that’s what this treason involved.. and he still did it for his career.

My experience of this story is that Tony sunk to the low depths for the sake of his career, and he knows what that makes him!

Haha… Made me think of KITT. And I’m sure KITT would have a blow dryer.

  9. Not only did Amanda not notice a limousine by her house (totally out of place,) but when the guy talks to her she doesn’t even recognize him as the guy she observed putting the revised scripts in the locked backstage storage area. She is either really slipping or really focused on getting back to Lee. I think when Amanda sees Lee already “cuffed and stuffed” she is as content as one can be in that situation. She doesn’t wonder if he is still alive and as long as there is life there is hope. As long as they are TOGETHER there is hope. Now she can focus on a solution to their problem…and maybe trying to figure out Lee’s perfect hair along with the rest of us.

Good one Katjielee! I figured she didn’t get a good look at Mischa earlier.. but I suppose she probably should have given she managed to spot the weasel faced man from meters away at a glance! 🙂 I think Mischa is the sour-faced man!

Love how you expressed this Katjielee!!! I was thinking along similar lines to you on this one..

ROFL!!! One of the great mysteries of the universe! 🙂

  10. Amanda wants to be cuffed with her hands in front because it’s easier to unpick and escape (remember the beginning of the episode). But, of course, how did she know Mischa had handcuffs?
How did Lee’s hair and clothes get dry. Did they stop by his place first?
The things that go on in broad daylight in Maplewood Drive that none of the neighbours seem to notice! Why, I bet a person could walk down the street naked and no one would bat an eyelid. I think Lee should test my theory. 😉
Hello gutter, my old friend. It’s nice to talk to you again…

  11. And exactly how long did it take for Amanda take to get changed? Lee’s hair now looks dried and somewhat coiffed. Does that mean Mischa fluffed Lee’s hair? SHUDDER. I prefer to think that either a) the ‘vette has a car hair dryer and while waiting for Amanda, Lee styled his hair (which would explain why he did not hear Mischa sneaking up on him) or b) his hair is so well trained, it sprang back into its styled form in record time.

    • Whahahahahaa!!! It’s my turn to laugh hysterically Cindy!

Mischa doesn’t seem to be the hair fluffing type 😉
I’ve vote for a combination of both a and b!
It totally makes sense that Lee’s corvette would have hair maintenance capabilities of some kind! 🙂

  12. I thought Amanda’s first reaction to seeing Lee in the Limo was “Drat!” (well, maybe a bit stronger than “Drat!”, but I am keeping it 1980s PG.
