Hello! We continue..
‘There’s just one little problem’ is still hanging in the air..
We cut to Lee slamming a door in the garage. Loudly!
Ahhhhh the cool, calm, suave spy performance has well and truly slipped!!! 
Amanda doesn’t look happy either. but hey good news, she remembered to collect her coat 
Lee: You knew I wanted the package! Why didn’t you bring it with you? 
Amanda: Insurance!..
[LOL Lee closes his eyes listening to her, trying to take in what she is saying while clawing back some control of himself!]
…I figured if you were a gangster, you couldn’t kill me if you needed me to get to it!
[Go Amanda!!! Too right!!! Lee did little to nothing to reassure her of her safety, he was too busy enjoying playing the mysterious sexy guy! I say he deserves this!]
Lee (gritting his teeth): That’s how your mind works? Most people would have been happy to get rid of something like that!
[I love love love this line. How about you? Even in his panic he can see Amanda is unique and unexpected.. as frustrating as that is for him right now lol!]
Amanda: Most people wouldn’t have taken the thing in the first place!.. 
[I love how fast Amanda is here.. she’s so great!!! and I think this is the most alive we’ve seen her since we met her!!! Go Amanda!!!]
…Most people wouldn’t have called you up! 
Lee interrupts with a sound like he’s in pain rofl: hmuhh..
Amanda: … or met you at some dumb party,.. 
…a party for which I was hideously underdressed,… 
[In fairness Amanda, you were even more hideously underdressed when Lee asked you for help at the train station ]
… so would you mind not yelling at me?
[Go Amanda!!!]
(She stops and looks around at her surroundings. She calms.)
…Where are we?
[Good question since you both are yelling about something at the top of your lungs which can get people killed and is supposed to be a secret. oops.]
Lee: We are in the garage…
…Do you think that I would let those valets park my car, 
….a …a car that happens to be a classic…
(As Lee rants, we see Amanda silently listening, totally unimpressed. she crosses her arms and makes it clear is is unimpressed.
Like waiting for a 2 year old to finish their tantrum only way more handsome.)
.. 1963 Porsche nine- …three-fifty. 
(Lee struggles for his next breath he’s so worked up. He pauses to take a breath and notices the way Amanda is looking at him.. 
[it ain’t good.
– not like he is used to women looking at him haaaaaa.
I like to think Lee doesn’t want Amanda to look at him like that. I think we already see there’s a part of him that liked the hero worship full of awe way Amanda had been looking at him earlier..even if it had been a performance. This matters!]
…I’m sorry…
(He pauses some more. Amanda waits. ) 
… I’m sorry, this is . . .
… it’s just that this is very, very important to me…
…and I am getting a lot of pressure.
Lee tries to lighten things a little finishing with a stressed smile.
[Yeaaah okay I’ll cut Lee some slack, he’s looking in the mirror and not liking what he sees here. Not Lee at his best for sure.. but the only way is up Lee so hang in there!]
Amanda: It hasn’t been my best day, either… 
[Amanda’s on board with lightening things here too..]
…Anyway, let’s just be glad that we’re finally going to get the whole thing straightened out. hmm?
[I think Amanda comes across as not a pushover but also simultaneously gracious here. What do you see? ] 
(Lee wordlessly responds with a nod.. 
and a look I’d describe as unsure, 
like he’s off balance with this shift in their dynamic.
Claudia described it as ‘disgusted’ in the transcript but that’s not what I’m seeing.. we can disagree. ) 
[Good! I’m glad he’s feeling uncomfortable and off balance!!!!
What are you guys seeing here – with well everything?? Do tell!! You may see it very differently to myself. Feel free to share whatever your take.]
(Lee starts to walks away, only he’s stops when he hears Amanda’s laugh from behind. 
He slowly turns.. 
[Almost like he doesn’t really want to turn around.. 
Lee may be thinking- What now?? Ugh I do not understand this woman at all and I really don’t like not being in control of this situation!!! I don’t like that I really don’t know what she’s going to do next!!!] 
I love that Amanda laughs and doesn’t tell Lee why, he has to ask… 
Lee: What?
Amanda: Oh, no, nothing.
(She laughs some more. Lee walks back over to her. Lee’s smiles here don’t reach his eyes.. he’s smiling and trying to put his mask back on here..)
Lee (very quietly, too quietly!): What is it?
[Not only does Lee have to ask, He has to ask twice. She has his number! haaaaa] 
Amanda: Well, I just almost did the dumbest thing with your package.
Lee: What was that?
[I think Lee is barely keeping it together here rofl. like he’s slowly losing his mind having to deal with Amanda. Because she’s so disorientating!!! haaaa]
Amanda: No. You’d just laugh.
(Amanda continues with her giggles…
Lee’s none the wiser. [I don’t think he’s inclined to laugh. ha but I am!!
I’m still seeing it differently to Claudia’s transcript here maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think Lee is laughing with Amanda here at all.]
Amanda’s smile seems to get even bigger as she thinks whatever it is is hilarious.. 
She’s either not picking up on Lee’s discomfort or she doesn’t care lol. IMHO of course..]
The moment is interrupted by the sound of screeching tyres as the baddies’ car approaches them speeding down the car park ramp.
This alerts Lee and Amanda they need to hide..
The baddie car stops and they get out. [lol why didn’t they just drive normally and park, they would have totally been able to sneak up on these two! Amanda was about to say where the package was. Such polite baddies squealing the tyres to let them know: Heeeeeeyyyyy we’re cooooommming!!!!! ]
They’re the same two baddies from the train station..
Lee and Amanda crouch and move behind the cars..
Lee: Yeah, they’re after the package.
Amanda: Whooooo?
[Why is the way Amanda says that so funny??!!]
More hiding and baddies hunting..
Lee: They’ve got the exits covered.
(Lee notices a garbage cart, and he and Amanda get in.
the baddie spots them.. and the chase is on!)
As Amanda get in we hear our first: Oh my gosh!!!!
and Lee gives a loud: woohooo!!!! 
[I love that!! I rewound that about 10 times!]
Suddenly, Lee is feeling totally in his element again. No longer confused about what this unusual woman is saying or doing.. and he’s right in his comfort zone.
Evade the baddies, keep the case safe (i.e. Amanda and the package).
Amanda is tucked down in the back of the cart.
As they speed toward a down ramp we can hear Amanda scream out: Who are those guys??!!!
[Umm Amanda who cares. bad guys. that’s all you need to know!]
[Heading down the ramp we hear- Amanda: Faster!
Is that the dumbest wig ever that stunt woman is wearing oh rofl. it just doesn’t move!!!]
There’s lots of screaching of tyres and going round and round down the ramps the baddies in pursuit.
Amanda grabs Lee by the arms terrified, and he tells her to let go. Amanda he needs them to drive!! 
[There are some awesome shots of stunt Lee and Amanda here rofl.]
Lee: Just calm down.
Amanda: Hit the brakes!
Lee: What brakes?
[Um why does the cart not have brakes? does it only go up and down on the elevator?]
They make it to the open street, we continue to hear lots of Amanda screaming [Is it just me or are you thinking we don’t moving forward hear this much screaming from Amanda??!!]
(The vehicles get out on to the open street. Amanda screams some more.)
Lee: Hold on!
[Oh my… there is so much screeching from tyres and Amanda here that the dogs are upset.]
As the cart makes it to the road, it cuts off a car, that swerves and narrowly misses it, and a fire hydrant gets hit.. starting a waterfall that lands all over Lee and Amanda. 
The close up of the fire hydrant being hit is another cool camera angle. 
This episodes has a few quirky ones!
The baddie car is seen arriving and coming to a stop. They watch on, pull out a gun, then decide nah now is not the time, they’ll get them later, and they leave.
[I told you they are polite. Lee and Amanda are a little busy, we’ll come back later!] 
The scene closes with Lee and Amanda seen to be trying to cover themselves with Amanda’s coat or something to stop the water. I think? It’s kind of hard to see. Hey guys why don’t you get out of the water fountain! Try that! Rofl!!!
Anyway the scene ends there, and we’ll pause here too.
Hey- did it rain the day Amanda drove Dean to the train station? I like to think it didn’t rain haaaaaaa.. after all that and what it ends up costing Dean it didn’t even rain haaaa. sorry the fountain here reminded me of that thought.
Okay looking forward to hearing what you all make of the episode so far. Back with more next weekend!
"Just walk with me.." 
Right….. “There’s just one little problem” is still hanging in the air. Moreover, Lee, the cool, calm, casual spy, is beyond unhappy. He is pissed. Absolutely pissed and annoyed. What a waste of time. She should have known, no, guessed, that he wanted the package. She was just the courier. An unimportant courier who just had to do his job.
“Lee: That’s how your mind works? Most people would have been happy to get rid of something like that!” Yes, Lee, most people. Nevertheless, Amanda is a mother of two trying to protect herself because you couldn’t give her that, dufus. Moreover, no matter how much it annoys you – that IS her life insurance.
“Amanda: Most people wouldn’t have taken the thing in the first place!” Hooray, he just can’t get anywhere with her. KJ is simply brilliant in this scene.
“Amanda: …so would you mind not yelling at me?” I love how totally unimpressed Amanda reacts to his infantile screaming. She has certainly seen it too many times in her life to take it seriously.
Oh my goodness. What it costs him to say “…I’m sorry…“. The fact that he doesn’t break his teeth or his jaw in the process never ceases to amaze me. I think the moment Amanda reacts in a way he never would have thought possible: “Amanda: It hasn’t been my best day, either… Anyway, let’s just be glad that we’re finally going to get the whole thing straightened out… hmm?” he realizes that something drastically changes inside him. The entire dynamic between them has changed dramatically, and that makes him uncomfortable.
As I wrote in (4/10)… From the moment he stood on the stairs, he seemed to feel superior to her and looked (not just literally) down on her, mistakenly assuming she was easy to fool. Well, that’s exactly what she isn’t. She doesn’t play along with his games and is so different from all the women he has met. I think that’s why she confuses and unsettles him.
Especially when he hears her laughing from behind while he walks away. “Lee: What?” Oh, Lee, even trying to put your mask back on, she set you up. She “just almost did the dumbest thing with your package.” So funny. He really is slowly losing his mind having to deal with her and her BS.
But Amanda doesn’t have time for explanations. The bad guys are here. I’d be interested to know how they found Lee. Did someone tell them before the party, or even call them after he left? But the super spy is in his element. He saves himself, Amanda, and the world with the help of a garbage cart. Did you see that the carts owner is also wearing a red hat? Maybe he was the real courier and no one informed him beforehand?
After all, this is the first time he is trying to protect Amanda. She is the only one who knows where the package he desperately needs is. If you listen to the footage on headphones, you can constantly hear Amanda screaming “Faster” or “Hit the brakes.”
Yeah, what does she want?
Faster or slower?
Girls, you are on the run.
Yes, IWSOD, the camera angle is absolutely cool. I never noticed the flying fire hydrant before. However, I don’t understand why Lee doesn’t just drive a little farther to get out of the water area. It looks like there is still a little room for it or why the two don’t walk a few meters further. The bad guys can only follow them on foot, and that would be too conspicuous in public.
Dean couldn’t have predicted this rain.
The chances of it happening were less than 1%.

I found the sequence in the garage really, really interesting. They are arguing. Arguing like people who know each other. There’s some kind of comfort being established already. It’s safe to argue. I once read that people who sense or desire a connection will often resort to negative behavior because it does create a bond.
Wait. Amanda followed him to a garage?! Oh, my. There’s definitely a level of trust here.
I guess in the spy business the bad guys also have their ways to find you even when you are at a special party and decide to go into the parking garage. Hahaha One of Lee’s “friends” must’ve ratted him out!
One of my favorite scenes is them tooling down the ramp in that scooter. The music is perfect with it. So exciting!
Facing danger together is definitely a bonding experience!

The bit in this scene where Lee and Amanda steal the garbage cart, have a look at the guy they steal it from, it looks like Agent Guthrie, red hat and all, but it can’t be because we know Guthrie’s in the morgue but it really looks like him.

It’s kind of unfair that, right out of the gate, they put Bruce Boxleitner in a well-fitting tux. I mean, I know WHY they did that, but just a real emotional wallop for the viewer.
This is a fun scene and great use of the theme song again.

I love the “arguments” that Lee and Amanda have in early episodes. She is feisty and doesn’t put up with Lee’s nonsense. I wonder if they realized how loud they were in the parking garage. Everyone could hear them- bad guys, good guys, the garbage cart guy….

I think Amanda was pretty sharp not to bring the package, because she’s right, she needed insurance. After all, up until this point, she had no idea what Lee’s job was.
Lee is behaving like a child having a temper tantrum, so as a mother, Amanda is well suited to deal with that behavior–the more agitated he gets, the calmer she remains.

I absolutely love this episode. The interaction between Lee and Amanda is great. This garage scene is too funny! As far as Lee being outraged with Amanda, I don’t see that either. I see him feeling a bit puzzled as he realizes that Amanda doesn’t back down to him, nor is she intimidated by him being a top Agent. If anything, Lee sees that she’s not like any other woman he’s dated. On the other hand, the slight attraction he feels for her, which he can’t seem to figure out, makes him angry at himself.
In the garage when Lee is walking ahead of her, yelling at her that he wouldn’t let the valet park his car, is so hilarious. He’s like a child having a temper tantrum. He looks so adorable. After he stops and apologizes to her, shows a softer side of him.
The scene where they’re running from the baddies and trying to hide, when Amanda asks, who? She sounds like a little owl. It’s so cute! Love it how she never backs down to him.

It’s always great to see how Amanda just confuses Lee and his mask drops so easily with her and I love how Amanda defends herself to Lee in the garage, he’s so unused to a woman telling him off and it’s absolutely beautiful to watch!Oh Lee and his temper tantrum, he’s such a little boy but hey Amanda’s got a lot of experience handling unruly boys and he can see that Amanda isn’t impressed and that’s new for him from a woman.I do agree that Lee doesn’t want Amanda to look at him the way other women do because she’s a mother and that’s just off limits to him!In The First Time Amanda was indeed gracious more than Lee deserved actually,in the beginning she wasn’t a pushover,she stood up for herself and let Lee know it!Lee doesn’t like to be uncomfortable and off balance and with Amanda,he has it in spades!I love your line about Lee not liking that he doesn’t know what Amanda will do next,get used to that feeling Lee because that feeling will go on for years and you’re better for it!
