Lee and Amanda are chatting as they await their turn on the high beam..
I think Lee is bored, so he chats with Amanda to pass the time… err not that he enjoys ahem having her around or ahem anything!
He almost seems to be distracting Amanda from her training! Is this what Lee was like in high school? Amanda even makes reference to gymnastics at high school..[where Lee says he’ll take her word for it: I guess Lee didn’t do gymnastics!] Bad Lee for distracting Amanda! [he is always distracting me too ] but it’s very cute!! Anyone looking at the two of them would know they know each other already! it’s kinda ridiculous! I guess this chat about the other recruits is in service of us wondering who is the secret Pavlova!
Lee: say Amanda, did you meet anyone yet?
Amanda: Oh yes! ( Lee nods)
…Everybody seems very nice! (Amanda points)

I am enjoying this episode!!!! ).. She’s a model from New York, and behind her?
…That’s Brad Jordan, he’s a race car driver.
…He’s been in races all over the world.
[LOL Lee is so funny here! Mr relaxed and gossipy! It’s very cute! ]
Lee: Really?
Amanda: Mmm Hmm
Lee: Wow!
Amanda: and right behind him, that’s Dr Simon Floyd.
[Ouch!! we see Dr Floyd at this moment painfully crash off the balancing beam! Nice to see Amanda isn’t the only recruit who gets herself into trouble! ]
[they are both so cute here.. and Lee is lookin sooo good I could include 50 pics of this conversation ] Lee: Ohhh
Amanda: Ah.. he’s an author. He wrote Reingold’s Revenge. Mother read it twice!.. and then ahhh this lady… (Amanda points again)

and Lee gives Amanda a sideways glance-
he seems to have a little smile to himself knowing Amanda is wondering what’s he up to! I do believe he is enjoying himself shooting the breeze with Amanda!!
Amanda: don’t you know who they are?
Lee: Yeah I do! I read all their personnel records.
Amanda: Well if you already know, why did you ask me?
Lee: I’m just checking on your observations that all..
They are very cute here together- mirroring the other’s body language..
Lee tries to put on his serious face here! Just for a second, to convince Amanda he is checking her observations 😉 tee hee.. but he is playing with her.. and having fun [me too! me too!]

Hmm yes Lee, with Amanda around: maybe this station one won’t be so boring after all! Lee’s and Amanda’s friendship is coming along nicely!!! Plus Lee in the great outdoors? the sun shining on his hair?? ( and no turtleneck??!! ) Gorgeous!!! Which means not boring for Iwsod either!
Amanda: well, a pretty strange bunch.
Lee: Yeah.
Amanda: yeah! I mean, what could the agency do with a model from New York?
Lee: I don’t know. what could the agency do with an housewife?
[I think Amanda is thinking here: ohh here we go again!!! but.. this next line was the opposite of what she thought was coming!!!! ]
…but you’ve sort of come in handy in the past!
This compliment of Lee’s seems to be out of his mouth before he realised what he was saying! Although, he doesn’t seem to regret saying it either! 🙂 whooo hoooo!
It’s sooooo lovely to see Lee acknowledging Amanda’s contribution here.. Yes!!!! an actual- Compliment!!!! Yes Lee, she has come in very handy! Glad you finally seem to realise it! happy dance happy dance…
Drat.. Billy interrupts them calling out to them that they are up. LOL while they were chatting the 
rest of the crowd simply vanished.. Off they go along the balancing beam..[Lee seems to stick pretty close to Amanda throughout all these challenges – I think he has appointed himself her helper/protector- as usual!]
BTW-Brad Jordan??? we also have a Betsy Jordan (Life of the party) and Byron Jordan (murder between friends) as other SMK characters.. what’s with SMK and B.Jordan’s? Weird!
Okay, well this post is big enough already I better stop there.. I just had to include lots of pics of this lovely little moment between Lee and Amanda – if you look at this episode as before Brunettes like I do- then this is quite a significant moment.. Lee actually admits that Amanda has been useful! I think Amanda thought Lee was going to once again say what use does he have for a housewife? None.. but no!!!! squeeeeee!!!! I can’t get enough of Lee’s little smiles at Amanda here.. relaxed and enjoying being with her – even if he is at station 1 where he really really doesn’t want to be

Lee’s answer about taking Amanda’s word for gymnastics classes cracked me up, because with all the times he flips to get out of the way of bullets, I was convinced he’d taken some gymnastics classes at some point! Then again, the guys don’t do balance beam, so maybe there is a chance he still took some kind of tumbling classes?

I think this scene is one of the biggest hidden gems of early season 2 (watching in revised order). They are so sweet here!!

Oh yes, this is a lovely little gem of a scene! They don’t even realize how close they stand, yet unconsciously, as you say iwsod, they are in tune with each enough to mirror the other’s body language. Totally sigh worthy. Sigh…..and drool, and sigh and drool, all together now! *sigh drool sigh drool….eyes roll back, thud!*

I never noticed them mirroring each other body movements. Love that pic where they are both tilting their heads back.
Lee is cute with his gentle teasing, a compliment woo hoo! Amanda shows off what she does well which is attention to detail and good recall which is why the scene with the memory game irritates the hell out of me.
Damn you billy for interrupting. You have to spoil all the fun *sigh*

Lee is cheerfully, rather than begrudgingly accepting of Amanda here. It’s so sweet. And I have no doubt he was doing more than having a casual conversation with her. By now he knows (and has admitted) that she has good intuition, good instincts, so he’s definitely hoping for a little nugget of revelation here. And I’m sure he’s happy to have the “official” reason to strike up this conversation with her. It does make for a lovely scene, doesn’t it?

This goes to show that Lee really does enjoy talking with Amanda. He’s drawn to her. He is teasing her and testing her at the same time. Deep down, he does want her to do well at Station One. In addition, I think he just wants to hear her point of view. She has a way of thinking “outside the box,” and he can’t wait to hear those thoughts.
Yes, this happy and relaxed Lee is a very nice man.

Do I need to say I’m grinning like an idiot watching the two of them in this scene? Gossipy Lee and Amanda not noticing the whole group is already gone? 😀 Love how they interact in this scene… so much smiling… Lee seems to have forgotten he wanted to be grumpy about Amanda being there! GOOD!!! 😉
