Now that I’ve covered the tux and the dimple, I can finally focus on getting through the rest of the stats for this episode! Thank you for bearing with me.
This post is a tad longer than usual, but there are still some very swoony moments and screen caps. Plus a couple of oopsies at the end!
Enjoy and I’d love to hear your thoughts on any or all of this! Especially if I’ve missed anything – this episode was jam packed!
.BJo.
AMANDA BANDS
Just one this episode – and it’s red. Don’t you just love the look on Amanda’s face here. The wheels are turning inside her brain…c’mon think of something to tell my mother….I know, Chuck!
Lee in plaid
A: Look, you may think Jim’s not good, but I think he’s charming and I think he’s sincere.
Pretty sure Lee’s jacket counts as plaid.
.
This is the same plaid jacket – I realize the resolution isn’t that great – sorry! Looks like Lee’s having an adult beverage. No wonder he has a grin on his face. I’d have thought after their bathroom fight and having to wait for Amanda to come “home” he’d be a little miffed. I’m glad he’s not though He actually looks like he’s thinking she’s as pretty as Cinderella.
.
.
AMANDARAMBLES
We have a couple of Amandarambles in this episode. One is a mini, but I just love KJ’s delivery so I’m including it. Plus it means more Lee in a tux and more gorgeous KJ in that dress.
My boys love Quickie Chickie Snack Shack! You know they have the best french fries-
Love Lee checking his watch here….notice he doesn’t interrupt. He knows it’s pointless. And yup, scrunched up face and all – he’s still gorgeous.
And they have the only cole slaw that doesn’t….why are we going to this? Wish I had KJ’s arms and shoulders – she really looks great tonight, doesn’t she?
The second Amandaramble is at Amanda’s dinner with Delano.
A: Well, you know how it is (L: No, tell us.). You travel a lot, you meet all sorts of people but you never really meet the ones you want to meet, you know? Do you believe in reincarnation? Maybe we met in another lifetime. You see, sometimes I think that maybe I really lived once before during the War of the Roses and I was a countess who lived in a huge, beautiful castle with acres of land (L: What is she talking about? Good question, Lee.) and my husband, the count, and my husband the count was imprisoned in the Tower of London. And then one night, it was a dark stormy night, his enemies came and they took me away. So when they brought me to the gallows I just looked at the executioner and smiled serenely because I knew I wasn’t going to die.
Where did she get all that?
.
.
Jack Sightings
Jack 1 is back! When was the last time we saw him??
L: What is she talking about?
Even Jack is cracking up! Reincarnation? War of the Roses? Is this more stuff from the novel she’s reading?
.
JILL SIGHTINGS
No, not this time.
.
Who left their keys this week?
No evidence of keys being left behind this week.
.
.
AMANDA DOESN’T DO WHAT LEE TELLS HER
A: …and go back in your truck and don’t eavesdrop on me!
You go girl! Let him have it! He is acting like a jealous person and he has no right as you say…but you were supposed to keep the broach on. It’s a minor infraction, I know, but I just love that she’s being feisty with him. She should have told him to stick it where the sun don’t shine if you ask me.
..
L: Now, what were you saying about your evening?
.
.
.
A: Oh, I wasn’t going to say anything at all about it! Hahaha – put that in your pipe and smoke it buster!
.
.
.
AMAAANDA!
Oh Lee, she does complicate your life, doesn’t she! And we absolutely love her for it!
.
LEEEEE! (always said to save our Scarecrow)
None.
.
HITS/PUNCHES/SHOTS TO LEE
This is a rough week for Lee. At least he doesn’t get shot though.
LOL! I just had to include this funny screen cap of the guy attacking Lee in the study. He sure looks scary! Not! Do you think he took out the cameraman when he did this? I don’t even think it’s the same actor who actually fake fights with Lee.
.
.
.
.
.First Lee gets a punch to the gut.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Then a whack to the back.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.Then he gets thrown into the chair…
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
tackled across the desk…
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.and onto the floor upside down.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Next he’s tipped over the chair…
And thrown to the floor one last time before he starts kickin’ the ever lovin’ tar out of the baddie. Boy, can this man take a lickin’!
.
.
AMANDA BOO BOOS
.
This is a veeery scary week for Amanda.
We can see the look of fear on her face…
.
.
as she gets taken by gunpoint.
H: Will you come with me, please?
.
How polite. Like she has an option to say, “No thanks.” I wonder if the baddies think they’ll get a break with viewers or jurors because they use good manners?
Ooooh, who can forget the slap??? Ouch, that hurts! Well, actually, it really doesn’t, but seen at real speed it looks like it does! No wonder we don’t see a red mark on Amanda’s cheek.
And as if that wasn’t bad enough – he has to poison her with some deadly mushroom poison!
H: A shot of muscarine…perhaps this will make you remember who you are. A: Would you believe me if I told you that I was just a suburban lady with two small boys, a station wagon, and a little league team on a bad losing streak?
Lee?!?! Where are you??? Poor Amanda! Do you think she gave up on him?
.
LEE WINKS
I didn’t see any Lee winks this episode but it seems like there could have been. Did I miss any? It would have been easy to do with the tux and dimples and all.
.
AMANDA SAVES LEE
Lee does all the saving this episode!
.
LEE SAVES AMANDA
I think this is one of my favorite saves of the series…anyone with me on that one?
Right after Lee beats up the baddie in the study, he immediately searches for Amanda. He knows something is very wrong….
.
.
Uh oh, Lee spots Amanda’s purse on the second floor bannister.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
He’s starting to really look worried now. She’s not supposed to be upstairs!
After Lee rushes up the stairs in search of Amanda, he hears a scream! He rushes down the hallway into the room where the scream came from….
Oh no! He’s too late! She’s already been injected! Lee tries to keep Hollander from shooting him – he’s already taken a beating tonight…
Love how Lee never takes his eyes off the gun.
.
But ahhh, was there ever any doubt who would end up with the gun? Just look at Lee’s face here (ok, tough to do, I know), could he be any more intense?
L: What’s in the injection?
Lee’s final move here to save Amanda will be with one big karate chop to the neck. I kinda wanted him to shoot Hollander though. He really deserved it.
.
But wait, there’s more! Is that what you’re thinking?? Read on, dear friends!
TOUCHES
L: That’s not all she has. C’mon. He’s got her by the elbow. What a gentleman.
This is not a separate touch, just a continuation of Lee’s hand on her arm. I think this is such a pretty picture so I had to include it. I don’t even mind the Porsche – the top is neatly tucked away and provides some nice foreground for our favorite superspy and housewife!
.
L: Here is your help. Frederick, your butler and Mary your maid.
There is definitely some touching in this scene. I know I’ve commented on how close and touchy these two are before and that I really don’t understand it. Maybe it’s all subconscious or maybe they’re just close talkers. But for two people who are just business acquaintances…. I still love it though!
.
A: Do they know? L: They’re agents. A: Oooh They are very close here…in fact, Lee is within striking distance if you ask me. Too bad those other agents are watching
A: Here look, you just take this little thing, get it out of my life, get back in your truck and do whatever you’re doing and don’t eavesdrop on me!
She’s just taken the bug out of the broach and stuck it in Lee’s hand.
.
Oh, wow. Very swoony look he’s giving her here! There’s your lovely chauffeur’s outfit, Jenbo!
Lee touching fur, fur touching Amanda equals Lee touching Amanda. That is the Transitive Property of Touching for SMK! And let’s not forget to mention Lee’s licking his lips!!! Double points!!!
.
Here we have more pictures of Lee saving Amanda. I’ve included them here because they involve a lot of, ahem, touching.
.
Here he goes…picking up fake Amanda to carry her.
.
Carrying fake Amanda down the stairs. Wait, what is that brown thing at the top of the stairs? Is that some sort of a chair lift? I’m glad Lee didn’t use that, it totally would have wrecked the tag!
.
Yay, the real Amanda! At least it sure looks like it! Not a new touch, but had to include it because it’s the real deal.
.
Ahhh, more parts touching after he hitches her up. I’m going with ‘this is the real Amanda’ here.
.
L: Damnit, man! Don’t you apologize!
This too is real Amanda, right? Love, love, love the intensity of Lee in this scene.
..
L: I guess this one got a little rough.
Here he touches her hair 5 times. Awwww. Very sweet.
.
.
.
Cheeky Lee
For now, that’s what I’ve decided to call this new category….sounds better than ‘Cheek Muscle Thing’, don’t you think? If anyone out there has a better idea, let me know!
.
He actually gets pretty ‘cheeky’ a lot in this episode, so I’ve just captured a few of them during more meaningful or kind of funny scenes.
A: I understand what a sweep is, but I, ah I don’t know what a scenario is. L: The life story of Victoria Greenwich.
I guess in order for Lee to truly be a knight in shining armor he has to put Amanda in a fairy tale.
.
A: I have to go home. I should change clothes. L: Aren’t you going to tell me about your evening?
Nope! Hahahahaha!!!
.
Now you’ve done it, Hollander! Lee’s flexing his masseter…you haven’t got a prayer…say good bye!
.
.
OOPSIES!
You can see Amanda’s “boot” on her right foot in this picture. You can also see it when she walks to the study to flick the light three times, but I couldn’t get a good screen cap of it there.
.
.
Isn’t that Marge Clapton from TGTNeighborhood on the left?
I think it is! Maybe Hollander was planning to use Connie Beth Golden Circle Girls if the plastic chicken thing didn’t work out!
.
.
And whose car is parked in Amanda’s driveway???
See it there on the left? It’s parked pretty far back for company.
.
.
That’s it for this episode. It was jam packed! Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts on this lovely show!

Pingback: Just Walk With Me- through a Random Blog Post! | "Just walk with me.."
Hi Everyone! Sorry for the delay in responding to your comments – wasn’t online much yesterday.
KC – thanks for posting a link to a daytime shot of the car. It looks much clearer in the daylight. Must be another loaner from Gino we never heard about. Or perhaps it’s just one of Dotty’s friends over for a visit? Hahaha – most likely just an oopsie!
Hi Melissa R – yes, becoming part of this blog and creating posts has made me a big fan of this episode also. It has definitely gone up several spots in the episode ratings for me – if I were to rate them.
Iwsod – I think you may be on to something there – revisit our favorite episodes once a month. Or perhaps we just need a pics only post of just tuxes, dimples, tender touches, chauffer’s outfit right Valerie and Jenbo? No words – just a post for when we all need a little romance or warm/fuzzy Lee and Amanda fix!
The rabbit hole definitely has some suction to it as well….it is not just a hole, more like a black hole. I’ve just watched some of the eps that come next in the episode order and I don’t think the posts for those will be longer than usual. This episode really was off the charts on the stats meter. I’m not getting burned out – LOL – but looking forward to Burnout!
I see what you’re saying about Lee trying not so show he’s miffed…guess that may be why he’s got his little adult beverage in his hand.
Action screen caps are fun because I think they are the easy ones to get! Then playing around with them on the post can be funny too…yes, muscarine is from mushrooms! Here is one definition from an online dictionary: A highly toxic alkaloid, C9H20NO2, related to the cholines, derived from the red form of the mushroomAmanita muscaria and found in decaying animal tissue.
I think the cover thing for KJ’s foot cast here is all blue. In Gift Horse I only remember seeing it with the straps on top so you could still see the white cast. This one here is the same color for her dress – at least now we know why she wore this blue bag of a dress – to hide the boot as much as possible.
There are so many repeat goodies and baddies in this show it’s a little silly…like the white haired guy you mentioned and the short haired lady in ARS, LOTP, etc. I think Marge makes an appearance in S2 as well, so I’ll be keeping an eye out for her to see. I still think Jill shows up even more though which is why she has her own category.
Morley – Lee is also sweaty in the Mr. Brand episode during the karate fight with Dr. Pain. And they leave him sweaty for the scene right after that when he rescues Amanda and James Brand.
KC – I am looking forward to reading your tie patrol post and seeing the mini-oopsie!! Sounds like fun! And thanks for the compliments – I’m glad you enjoyed the post.
Hi Paula – yes, can you imagine the tag…Lee, how did you get me out of there? I sat you down on the stair chair instead of carrying you…your cast made you too heavy…I had no idea those things were so slow, it’s a good thing muscarine isn’t a fast acting poison, huh? LOL!
Hey Cindy – love how you do that with the letters, dots and caps. You must be a very visual person! And yes, a purple nose is much better than one that’s been stuck with a needle! Although some poisons must smell – maybe Lee is one of the 40% of the population who can smell cyanide?
Glad you all enjoyed the post – and thank you for commenting!

whooo hooo.. how fabulous is it to keep revisiting this episode? Hmm maybe we should revisit it the first day of every month or something haaaaa
I always love your stats posts BJo-it jumps off the page that you love this show and are having fun
Yes since a little time has passed since the dimples and the tux posts.. we may just be able to engage our minds .. a little..
Oopsies BJo?! I love a good Oopsie!! I swear we could just keep looking and looking in more detail at this show and never run out of things to find – I find it can turn into a bit of a rabbit hole when I’m recaping an episode.. I really have to cut myself off and move on! [sounds like KC and her tie patrol is also finding this to be the case] and you too BJo – there is just sooo much to find isn’t there??!!! Don’t go burning yourself out [Burn out?!] .. take as many posts as you like to cover what you want to cover.. I don’t think people will mind [ unless it’d artful dodger – I’ll skip that.. haaaa – I’m kidding!!! Just kidding!!]
Anyway. sorry I’m going off on tangents.. focus on BJo’s post Iwsod!
Chuck! – is that where that tv show took it’s name??
Ha haaaa Lee in plaid!!! too funny.. counts as plaid!
You are surprised Lee is not miffled BJo? I see Lee as trying to not be miffed here.. or trying not to show it! I don’t think he’s as relaxed as he wants to make out.. I’m guessing there’s a whole lot of conflict going on beneath that serenely relaxed and leaning against the door frame making cracks about fairytales thing Lee has going on!
I like that jack
Love that screen cap of Lee yelling out ‘Amanda!!!!!!’ good one!
Wow BJo, that was quite a recap of the action sequence there!! You got into it I think.. did you enjoy it ? some of those caps are creepy!!!
Wait a minute.. do those curtains match the armchair?? no way!!!!
Poor Amanda.. Very scary! well put BJo!
Is Muscarine from mushrooms?!
Interesting to view these pics of Amanda in peril having just seen her heroics in LOTParty.. Amanda really doesn’t make any effort here to escape, counting on Lee.. and yes as you say – giving up.. so sad!! but I’m really glad she eventually finds her feet..
Wow wow wow.. those caps? just.. wow!!!! Lee looks terrified.. sweaty.. and wow!!! Just can’t express myself right now..
ha! yeah I never noticed the wheelchair lift – gee I can’t think why.. it’s not like anything else had my attention in these moments 😉 not!!! tee heee. that sounds like a scene out of top secret or something..
Cheeky muscle thing? wow!!! you’ve put alot of effort into this BJo! thanks for sharing with us all!! 🙂
Great oopsie with the footware! is that KJ’s foot cast in that cover thingy she wears in Gift horse?
Could be Marge Clapton! is that a new category? spot Marge Clapton?!
I’ll take your word on the weird car! I can’t make it out very well! Smile Maybe it’s Dean’s car.. Or Dr Bains.. ahem…
rofl.. loved your tally for Tuxedos BJo! too funny!!
I agree with KC.. more eps with fancy functions would be great.. I always wished we got to see first seeing Amanda when they go to these fancy functions.. I mean in this ep it’s part of the story that he doesn’t pay any attention to her.. but in future, we never see the moment where he first sees her when she’s all dressed up and looking lovely! Oh well..
A Paula Sighting??!!!! 🙂 hey Paula! Hope life’s going well! great you could stop by. Here here.. you can’t linger on this ep too much!
Morley that is a very important question.. sweaty Lee? Hmm …Magic bus on that run.. and was he sweaty at all in A class act?? there was a season 4 ep ** shield your eyes spoiler!!! *** with him playing basketball with the boys but I can’t remember the episode.. haven’t seen it in years now that I’m pacing myself!
byeeeee!
LikeLike
That is right in Magic Bus when he is trying to get the controls open. And in the season 4 episode (One Flew East, I think). I guess to me his sweating looked like fear instead of exertion. Because we often see him doing action scenes and then he is looking pretty cool and collected afterwards, maybe a few hairs out of place. But here, and in the Magic Bus scene he is really sweaty. I may be reading too much into it, probably am, but I like to do that 🙂

Oh, I definitely go down the rabbit hole on Tie Patrol!!! 😀 And I’m kicking myself now–some of the shots I’ve captured and laughed my butt off at and then dumped as not being good enough tie pics would have made perfect memes. (Some of the cast are just priceless to screencap… Agent Dirk has the most animated eyebrows ever!) Oh well, just have to go back and re-watch… 😀 It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it!

Have we ever seen Lee this sweaty? In any episode before or after this. The back of his hair is sweaty even as he enters Delano’s office before the fight. It just really stuck out to me and I don’t remember seeing him that way other times, but maybe I just wasn’t paying as close attention.
LikeLike
It’s probably a good thing Lee didn’t stop to use the stair chair. Would’ve killed the dramatic moment. Those things are noisy, clanky contraptions that move at a snail’s pace.
I’ve always enjoyed this episode so much. It’s nice to take time to linger over it again.

BJo–nice one! 🙂
It’s too bad we didn’t see more eps with fancy functions –> tuxes and nice dresses (and dancing 😦 )… but I guess Amanda’s budget would’ve excluded more… 😀
I love the way you captured the yellow baddie fight scene!
Yes–they are (standing) very close, and maybe like you said it’s subconscious, but maybe it’s also having been thrown together into a few hairy/close situations… it might’ve helped to decrease their personal space envelopes for each other somewhat. (And I don’t think Lee’s personal space envelope is huge when it comes to females anyway.) I’ll have to do more observing. Oh, what a chore… watching A&L… 😀
As many times as I’ve watched this episode, I’ve never consciously noticed the stair-chair! LOL!
i love the close-up of Lee carrying Amanda… you can so clearly see the hazel of his eyes. 🙂
BTW–I have a mini oopsie to add for this ep, but I’ll address it in Tie Patrol when I get something written. 🙂
Oh, and I always thought it was funny that Lee asks “What’s in the injection?” rather than “What did you inject her with?” or “What’s in the syringe?”–it just struck me as slightly odd… but that might be my Kiwi-speak leading me astray.
LikeLike
I always thought it was an odd way of saying it too KC. Likewise I never understood why he sniffs the syringe as I don’t imagine you could really smell anything in it lol
LikeLike
I asked the nurse I worked with tonight about the odoriferous syringe idea, and we discussed it and came to the conclusion we haven’t spent much time THAT up close and personal with syringes. Incidentally, my nurse colleague thanked me in advance for when she sticks herself in the nose with a needle. 🙂
LikeLike
Ha ha! That reminds me when Mr. Sketch scented markers first came out and we ended up with coloured noses because we got too close when we sniffed. 🙂 I’d rather a purple nose than a needle poked one.

I always wondered about that, too… but figured that some of the nasties that the agents have to deal with must be kinda smelly. Hmmm… maybe truth serum is so stinky it forces you to tell the truth–tell a lie and your body chemistry reacts with the serum and it’s like being caught in the Bog of Eternal Stench… (Yeah–my imagination is on overdrive…) 😀
